Denmark – DR, the national broadcaster, has revealed the first 3 songs to have qualified, thanks to Danish vote, from the semi-finals revealed last week. 2 wildcards from a jury are still to be revealed, along the 5 prequalified finalists.
So this is a new selection method for the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix (DMGP). Just like its neighbor Norsk Melodi Grand Prix (NMGP), it features songs already qualified to the final and songs participating in semi-finals. For Denmark, this means only one semi-final with 9 songs split in three thirds. In each third, one song qualifies with 100% televote. A jury chooses two songs from the remaining 6 to join the final. In the end we therefore will have 10 finalists: 5 prequalified and 5 qualified through this semi-final.
Yesterday, DR revealed the winner of each heat with televote.

Erika already commented that they are open to proposals and would love to see Cicciolina joining her if budgets allow. I don’t think it would be that expensive as she has very troubled financial situation, sounds more like win win to me!

Lucky draw for Armenia and Azerbaijan who won’t have guaranteed 0 points in their semi finals FINALY . First semi final has more usually successful countries though.
Slovenia, Croatia and Macedonia in the 1st semi, we are in the 2nd semi. LOL :D
But the first semi is with Sweden, Ukraine, Russia, Azerbaijan, Australia, Norway.. :O So maybe not bad.. :D

After two spectacular DQ’s Belgium seems more like a challenger to me than a big name.

Exactly, they won’t. Belgium has learnt it’s lesson. No Ikea shop assistants or lost little boys anymore. Professionalism always works best, even in ESC!
Let’s hope this will not turn into another Sebastian Tellier business. They were somehow involved in Sennek’s car crash (but only in the songwriting part which was the best part of the package anyway) so that does give pause for thought!
