Best of National Finals 2005
2005’s edition was the only one I did much later, in summer of 2007 actually, as explained here. 39 countries took part in the 2005 Eurovisiong Song Contest. 34 of them used some sort of national finals in which 408 songs were performed. I wrote down a list of 100 songs and then came up with these top 30:
Albania | “Hena dhe yjet dashurojne” Luiz Ejlli
Albania | “Peshperitje zemrash” Rosela Gjylbegu & Arber Arapi
Austria | “Back home” Mystic Alpin
Austria | “Dreaming” Global Kryner
Austria | “Good old europe is dying” Alf Poier
Austria | “In the universe” Marque
Bosnia & Herzegovina | “Carolija” Jasna Gospić
Croatia | “Ponesi me” Ivana Radovniković
Croatia | “Vukovi umiru sami” Boris Novković
Denmark | “I believe in love” Luna Park
Estonia | “Moonwalk” Laura Pudvere
Finland | “An actress” Elena Mady
Finland | “Yeah, yeah” I’Dees
Germany | “Dein lied” Allee Der Kosmonauten
Latvia | “Sing it swing it!” Agnese & Intars

Romania | “Let me try” Luminiţa Anghel & Sistern
Serbia | “Hajde cico” Ogi Radivojević
Serbia | “Jutro” Jelena Tomasević
Slovenia | “Kje si” Anika Horvat

Sweden | “Gone” Bodies Without Organs
Sweden | “Håll om mig” Nanne Grönvall

Semifinal
My friends recieved the mp3 of these 30 songs and they have graded each of them with a 1 (awful) through 5 (great) system. For the first BoNF years, I did not save the full results (just like old Eurovision lol) but only the ranking. And so we have from 30th to 16th:
30 Latvia | “Sing it swing it!” Agnese & Intars
29 Finland | “Yeah, yeah” I’Dees
28 Albania | “Hena dhe yjet dashurojne” Luiz Ejlli
27 Austria | “Back home” Mystic Alpin
26 Romania | “All the time” Mihai Traistariu & Nicoleta Matei
25 Sweden | “Nothing at all” LaGaylia Frazier
24 Croatia | “Ponesi me” Ivana Radovniković
23 Slovenia | “Kje si” Anika Horvat
22 Germany | “Dein lied” Allee Der Kosmonauten
21 Turkey | “Tek istegim” Nursel Efe
20 Denmark | “I believe in love” Luna Park
19 Austria | “Good old europe is dying” Alf Poier
18 Romania | “Let me try” Luminiţa Anghel & Sistern
