ET Awards 2022: full results

Eurovision 2022 – This year we resumed the “Eurovision Times Awards” to give prizes (the Fridas) for the best in every category!  ET regular members made recommendations and open polls were open for a full week and winners were announced. Discover the full results now!

2022 was the nineth year for Eurovision Times to organize the Eurovision Times Awards, after last year’s contest was cancelled, preventing us from hosting this new yearly tradition. The principle of the ET Awards is simple, in each categories, the staff of this website will nominate a few entries per categories and open polls for the public to vote in them so we can reveal afterwards all the winners. The winners recieve an imaginary trophee, entitled the Fridas in hommage to Frida Boccara, the French Eurovision winner in 1969 with “Un jour, un enfant“.

You can check past results if you’re curious, even though past winners will be mentioned in the upcoming articles:

  1. Part of the Amfissa olive grove, the oldest in Greece (3000 BC and UNESCO heritage site) has been destroyed by wild fires last night. The nearby landmark archeological site of Delphi and the Mount Parnassus National Forest have been spared the very last minute.

  2. Apparently Cyprus will be one of the hosts of Eurobasket 2025. This secures the first ever participation in a major European tournament. If the team doesn’t improve it will most probably lose all games in the range of 60-70 points margin 😃

    • that’s something positive right?, here in Spain, noone ever expected Spanish basketball would be on the world stage, but look what happened in the end! Better to let us know what Cyprus has offered to the world? :-) many things am sure…

  3. From the BBC comments’ section:

“Johnson is ripping apart the Tory party with internal fighting and a toxic atmosphere. Great watching. Get the popcorn in…🍿

    Uber for Johnson….”

    :)

  4. Danny, who’s a recent The Voice Of Holland winner said he will be submitting a song to represent The Netherlands in esc:

      • Indeed. He said that this was the first time in history that the sinking ships (= those who will lose their seats in the next general election) are leaving the rat. 👏👏👏

          • I think that the most important thing is that the UK gets a decent and dull person who shapes policies based on reality instead of delusions of grandeur into Downing Street. Sir Keir fits that job decription imo, even though I am no huge fan of him either.

            • indeed, at least Sam Ryder is coming to Spain to give a tour (here in Spain he became really popular!) :-)

  5. I am incredibly stressed out this weekend between covering for everyone at work while they’re on vacation and also doing an apartment search, but seeing bye bye Boris just made things a little bit better.
