Slovenia – RTVSLO, the Slovenian national broadcaster has opened up its calls for entries from Slovenes, and you have until 14th December to submit your song for EMA 2019. The selection process will change this year as semi-finals have been scrapped and there will only be a national final.
Germany – The six artists who will compete as finalists in the German national final, Unser Lied Für Israel were revealed this week by Eurovsion.de. Extra acts could be added, as it was initially indicated there could be 8 finalists, but what do we know about the 6 confirmed so far?
Romania – The national broadcaster of Romania, TVR, has confirmed that it will once again use Selecția Națională to choose its Eurovision representative forTel Aviv. Changes have been made, however, to the voting for the final.
Italy – The first 69 songs that have entered Italy’s San Remo music festival have been published online by Rai, the national broadcaster. It is expected that Italy will choose its Eurovision representative via San Remo, with the winner being offered first refusal.
Eurovision 2019 – It was confirmed today that there will be 42 countries taking part in next year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv. Host country Israel, along with the big 5 of France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom will pre-qualify for the grand final on 18 May 2019.
Albania – The national broadcaster of Albania, RTSH, has announced the 22 participants taking part in this year’s Albanian national selection, Festivali i Këngës 57. There will be two semi-finals on 20th & 21st December 2018. The grand final is to be held on22nd December 2018.
Ukraine – Ukrainian boroadcaster UA:PBC and their partner STB have announced that Vidbir will once more be the vehicle used to select the country’s Eurovision Song Contest representative. The final will take place on 23rd February 2019.
