Austria: 30 names for the next round

Austria – Tomorrow the second phase of the Austrian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest will start on the radio station Ö3. In the morning show “Ö3 Wecker” the SMS voting will be declared open. 30 names, who have been selected by a jury out of over 300 submissions, will compete for the 10 places in the Austrian final. The show will be broadcast on February 25. The selection in the second phase will be decided by a 50/50 split of SMS and jury votes. Among the selected are well-known artists such as Alf Poier (Austria 2003), Starmania winners Oliver Wimmer and Nadine Beiler, and the winner of the German casting show “Supertalent”, opera-singer Freddy Sahin-Scholl.
