Australia – Mitch Tambo and IOTA have been revealed by national broadcaster SBS as the next two artists to be competing in this year’s Australia Decides. They join Casey Donovan and Vanessa Amorosi in the final which will pick Australia’s representative in Rotterdam.

Sweden – A new date for your diary….Swedish broadcaster, SVT, has announced that all of the Melodifestivalen acts are to be revealed on Tuesday 26th November at 12.00 pm (CET). The press conference will be streamed live via the official Melodifestivalen Instagram account here.
Bulgaria – Great news today as Bulgaria confirms that it will return to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2020. With the loss of Hungary, but the return of Ukraine, it looks like we already have 40 countries taking part in Rotterdam.
Malta – The representative for Malta in Rotterdam will again be chosen via the country’s XFactor tv show, which airs tonight from Gozo. A familiar Eurovision face, and one of the hot favourites to win, auditions tonight…
Georgia – Georgian Idol (or Star of Georgia as its also known) kicks off tonight, and will be used to select the Georgian entry for next year’s Eurovision Song Contest. It’s the second year that the broadcaster GPB has selected its representative in this way.
Former Participants – Natalia Pugacheva of Buranovskiye Babushki, better known as the Russian Grannies, has sadly died aged 83.
Albania – A website claims to have listed this year’s entrants for FIK 58. Festivali i Këngës 2020 will be used once again to select Albania’s entrant for Rotterdam.
Eurovision 2020 – The Dutch broadcaster has tonight revealed that the slogan for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 to be held in Rotterdam is ‘Open Up’.
UK – The BBC has confirmed that its national selection programme, Eurovision: You Decide, has been dumped for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest and an exciting new partnership with the record company BMG will help select the UK’s representative instead.

Eurovision 2020 – An eagle-eyed Eurovision fan has spotted an update on the official Eurovision website that suggests that Rotterdam has been chosen to host the 2020 contest in The Netherlands.
Sweden – Swedish broadcaster, SVT, has opened up its submission period today for anyone wanting to take part in Melodifestivalen 2020. You have until 11.59pm on 15th September to enter.
Sweden – Each year Sweden holds a competition for new artists via the P4 Nästa competition on the radio. One lucky entrant, chosen from the finalists, is then invited to take part in the Swedish national selection, Melodifestivalen.
Eurovision 2020 – As excitement builds about next year’s Eurovision Song Contest and the host city announcement less than a week away, yesterday saw another country confirm its participation. Ireland will be in The Netherlands in 2010, bringing the number of officially confirmed participants to 29 so far.

Eurovision 2019 – Eurovision Contest Producer, Christer Björkman, was rushed to hospital in Tel Aviv yesterday with a blood clot in the throat.
