UK: ‘Eurovision: You Decide’ Dumped

UK – The BBC has confirmed that its national selection programme, Eurovision: You Decide, has been dumped for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest and an exciting new partnership with the record company BMG will help select the UK’s representative instead.

UK: Songs for Eurovision to be Revealed on Wednesday

UK – The BBC will reveal the 6 artists and 3 songs that will take part in this year’s national selection, Eurovision: You Decide, on Wednesday 23rd January 2019 from 10am. As usual it will be via the Ken Bruce radio show on BBC Radio 2. 

UK: Six Artists Announced

United Kingdom – The six finalists for Eurovision: You Decide have now been revealed by national broadcaster the BBC. They will compete on Wednesday 7th February 2018 at Brighton Dome, the site of ABBA’s 1974 Eurovision Song Contest win with ‘Waterloo’. 

UK: Songs Revealed Tomorrow!

United Kingdom – The six songs in the final of the UK selection final, Eurovision: You Decide, will be aired tomorrow. The songs have previously been debuted on BBC Radio 2, but no details have been revealed yet about where or when they will be played first.

UK: National Final, You Decide, to Take Place in Brighton

UK – The BBC has confirmed that it will use the same format as last year to select its representative for Lisbon. A national final, You Decide, will see 6 finalists battle it out. The difference this year is that it will move from London to the seaside city of Brighton. 

UK: Public submissions for the UK Eurovision song are open!

UK – The BBC has opened the public song submissions process to find the UK’s entry for the 63rd Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon. It has also confirmed that there will again be a televised national selection, Eurovision: You Decide.

United Kingdom – The BBC are sticking with the process they used last year and have opened up the public song submissions process today to find the UK’s entry for the 62nd Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, Ukraine. Read on for information on how to submit a song. 

UK: Graham Norton will Raise a Glass to Terry Wogan in Song 9

United Kingdom – The UK’s commentator, Graham Norton, has said that he will be raising a glass to former commentator, Terry Wogan, in song 9 of this year’s contest. Wogan, who sadly passed away this year, always warned Norton not to start drinking until song 9. 

UK: National Selection Tonight!

UK – Tonight is the night that 6 UK acts take part in a live national final, Eurovision: You Decide, at the O2 Forum Kentish Town. The show will be broadcast on BBC4, and will be hosted by British Bake Off presenter Mel Giedroyc.

UK – The BBC has announced that the public will decide the UK’s representative this year as the decision will be by 100% televote / online voting. The 6 acts in the national final Eurovision: You Decide will be revealed next week on 22nd February 2016.

Former Participants – The BBC are currently running an online poll to see who fans will choose as their all time favourite Eurovision winner. You can vote in the poll here until Monday 20th April. Radio 2 will reveal the results from 18th May onwards on the Ken Bruce shows.

UK – The BBC has announced the return of the BBC Radio 2 Eurovision pop-up digital radio service to complement programming of the annual competition on BBC Radio 2 and TV networks BBC One and BBC Three.

Conchita Dazzles at London’s G-A-Y
