Portugal: Festival da Canção Moves Cities, National Final 4th March

Portugal – With next year’s Eurovision Song Contest taking place in Lisbon, national broadcaster RTP has announced that their national selection, Festival da Canção, will take place this year in the city of Guimarães. This year’s winner of Festival da Canção will go straight int the ESC grand final as the host nation’s representative. 

Lisbon Confirmed and Grand Final on 12th May

Eurovision 2018 – It has officially been confirmed that Eurovision Song Contest 2018 will take place in Lisbon on 8th, 10th and 12th May 2018.  The venue has also been confirmed, unsurprisingly, as the MEO Arena.

Eurovision 2018 – It was announced earlier tonight that there would be a press conference tomorrow evening, where it was expected that we would discover the venue and dates for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. Eurovision 2018 – The Chairman of the Eurovision Song Contest Reference Group, Frank-Dieter Freiling, has revealed in an interview to that the Reference Group will consider what sanctions may be applied to Ukraine and Russia in response to  Julia Samoylova’s selection and travel ban.
