For the first time since 2018, I have major ranking issues.
Back then I only liked 6 songs, and for the rest I even had trouble putting together my TOP 10.
Then, 2019 and 2020 were for me great editions, with lot of good songs, and now again in 2021 I just can’t put together my ranking.
I don’t like anything in particular.
I did put songs into several categories, and within the category I sorted them alphabetically, so I guess for now this is my “ranking” :-)

I don’t exactly rank all songs every month. I sort them out and then rank my favorites.
Good for you and Gjion’s Tears. I have songs i like atm but not a great big favorite.
I find this really unnecessary, the first version was better. The slow part they added at 2:22 is pretty weak and the ethnic sounds are more high pitched now ? sounding like chipmunks now, wtf ?
ROFL, this sounds like a parody to me, but I guess it’s not intended to be ? I can’t take it seriously. 😆

The Poloish entry “The Ride” :
Another 80s inspired entry but both Denmark and Greece are better in semi 2. He seems like a weak performer too. Overall ok effort
It’s super dumb, he is so smug and wanna be macho which really makes him seem so unlikable but tbh I kinda like the song as in a guilty pleasure :-P but it remains dumb especially with these lyrics.
Meh I find Poland to be super generic and more dated than vintage. It’s kinda catchy but it’s tried to do an 80s look but the sound and aesthetic is way more early 2000s. At this point there’s so many uptempos, you need a unique selling point to distinguish yourself from the pack. This doesn’t have one except the potential diaspora vote.
Poland: bold strategy to unveil this song after two really strong reveals in your same semi in Denmark and Greece. Not a complete turnoff, but unremarkable.

I just upgraded CHE 21 as my #1 for this year, and I don’t think any of the remaining countries can change that :P
CHE21 is probably our biggest disagreement in more than 60 years of ESC. :(
To me it is a vocal exercise decorated with RM tribute notes. :(
I think my runner up is Russia. How do you find that? :P
I like Russia but I don’t have a ranking at this point. Probably top 10 on my post-April review ist. :)

The song seems way better than Greece or Denmark. And it’s not as if their performers are a guarantee either… He is also quite sexy.

The Danish song isn’t strong.
It’s more honest to genre, memorable, colorful and fun
I understand but personally I have them almost equal and I don’t think it can do well. But it may qualify.

I have listened all the songs back to back.. My thoughts on some songs changed. I think it makes a big change when you hear them all at once🙂
Polish video is good.. The song could have been nicer.. Something is missing.
