Eurovision Film Release Date is June 26th on Netflix

Eurovision Film – This week we have had confirmation that the title of the upcoming Will Ferrel film about Eurovision will be called Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga and it will stream on Netflix from 26th June..  The first music track ‘Volcano Man‘ is now available to listen to. The song is sung by Ferrell himself and the singer My Marianne.

Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams will star as aspiring Icelandic musicians keen for a victory at the legendary song contest. Demi Lovato and Pierce Brosnan were also announced as members of the cast earlier this year. The film follows aspiring Icelandic singers Lars Erickssong and Sigrit Ericksdottir as they are given the chance to represent their country at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Ferrell has been a fan for the last 20 years after watching Eurovision in Sweden one year. He confirmed to the BBC’s Graham Norton this week that they have stolen Ukraine’s hamster wheel idea for the film.

  1. I’m pretty sure that not all ESC fans will be thrilled with the movie. There will be a lot of gimmicks and ESC stereotypes I’m assuming.

And Will Ferrel films are hit or miss. This could be good, but it can also be awful.

    • I must confess that a couple of Will Ferrel’s movies are a guilty pleasure to me. Blades Of Glory f. i.!
I know I should be ashamed of myself! :P :D

      • Am looking forward to it. Am.sure it will be hit and miss and I hear the song is rather poor but it’s not looking as bad as some thought. There was a leak earlier today on YT but has been removed already.

      • Some of them are actually ok.

  2. Yes as Alex said Im not interested tbh

  3. I liked this gay movie from Israel about the ESC… Cupcakes was the title, I think… I have a feeling that I won’t be so much into this one… but I’ll give it a chance…
