Estonia – ERR, the national broadcaster, will open Eesti Laul, the national final that will be used to select the entry for Rotterdam, with the first out of two semi-finals. Twelve entries compete and half of them will qualify to the final, to be held on 29th February 2020.
178 entires were received by the broadcaster. Foreign songwriters were also eligible for the first time but with a different (25 Euros for a song in Estonian and 50 Euros for songs in other languages). ERR’s panel selected 24, which were drawn in two semi-finals. The first semi-final tonight will be followed by the second one Saturday.

In a first round of voting, the Top 4 with 50% televote and 50% juries will qualify to the final. 2 more entries among the remaining 8 will be picked by televote only.
