Norway: Third Semi-Final Tonight

Norway – This year’s Melodi Grand Prix will feature 5 semi-finals in order to celebrate the 60 years of Norway’s participation in Eurovision. The 3rd semi-final takes place tonight. 4 participants will battle for the televote’s ticket for the final.

The 4 acts taking part for Central Norway are:

  • Thomas Løseth (featuring Erika Norwich) – ‘Vertigo’
  • Alexandru – ‘Pink jacket’
  • Sie Gubba – ‘Kjære du’
  • Kristin Husøy – ‘Pray for me’

The hosts Kåre Magnus Bergh, Ingrid Gjessing Linhave and Ronny Brede Aase will first draw the two duels. The two winners of the duels will then face one another for the televote’s tickets for the final, which will be hosted in Trondheim. A jury already looked at the 5 semi-finalists of each semi-final and picked a winner to qualify directly to the final. Tonight’s jury qualifier is Akuvi singing ‘Som du er‘.

The show starts at 19:50 CET and you can watch it here.

  1. That’s the proof. The second song always wins…

Next time they could just make the draw and a winners reprise. *lol*

  2. I don’t want Kristin Husøy to win…I dunno why but I really don’t like it..both song and performance.. It is not bad, but it irritates me lol

This is how I rank the final till now:

    1. Raylee – “Wild” 9/10
    2. Sondrey – “Take My Time” 8,5/10
    3. Akuvi – “Som du er” 8/10
    4. Rein Alexander – “One Last Time” 6/10
    5. Kristin Husøy – “Pray for Me” 4/10
    6. Didrik & Emil – “Out of Air” 1/10

  3. It has been an insanely busy and long day, and I missed all the action tonight. I have just listened to the winner of this heat. Kristin’s song isn’t anything special, but it is pleasant at least, and that alone puts it miles ahead of any of the other finalists we know at this point.

  4. Totally forgot about this tonight. I ll take a look at the winner later.
Tbh I just don’t feel that invested in the NF season this year, even less than last year.
    We’ll see how things go.

    • SF winner :

Kristin Husøy – ‘Pray for me’ : It is quite good although the chorus is a tad dissapointing. Vocally great, like the attitude of the song and her performance, very groovy. She is a bit stiff on stage but that can be fixed. Best semi Q for sure – 8/10

      Finalist :

Akuvi – ‘Som du er’ : The song is contemporary and a bop for sure but she was really mediocre vocally and God that dancing routine was bad. Needs polishing asap because the base material is there. – 6/10

Thus far the Solli-Tangen’s have the best song followed by Kristin in the final imo.

  5. The best song qualified, I’m surprised !

    So far
    1. Kristin 8/10
    2. Akuvi 6/10
    3. Sondrey 6/10
    4. Rein Alexander 5/10
    5. Didrik & Emil 5/10
    6. Raylee 4/10

Feels like a MF final. lol
Hopefully we will get more competitive songs next weeks

  6. Based on studio versions I rank 4th Heat like this:

    1. Hege Bjerk – “Pang”
    2. Oda Loves You – “We love who we love”
    3. Nordic tenors – “In this special place”
    4. Magnus Bokn – “Over the Sea”

    I love first 2 ones LOL :D

  7. Finally I got to listen all NMGP hopefuls (thanks, Marko).
    A rather weak line-up I’m afraid.
    Kristin’s song stands out.

  8. The 4th semi is better than the first 3. I like Hege Bjerk-“Pang” most followed by Magnus Bokn-“Over The Sea”, Oda Loves You – “We love who we love”,Nordic tenors – “In this special place”
    Hege to the final!

  9. (putting it here as it is the main convo hub :P)
X Factor Malta, after messing it up big time before, redeemed itself by kicking out primadonna Karl Schembri and Celine who can’t sing.
