ETSC – Every year, the summer is the calm after the storm so it’s the perfect time to resume the highly anticipated the Eurovision Times Song Contest! Each one of you can represent an European country and get to send a song and then vote in a fake Eurovision! Discover the songs this Wednesday night, 8PM CET!
Each summer, a good number of regular readers stay around for different reasons (they don’t get breaks from work or don’t go on holidays…) but there aren’t much news to keep us going. So the last few years we introduced all sorts of games. The Eurovision Times Awards (Fridas) and the Douze Points Trivia Quiz kept us going in 2013 and Fridas have made come-backs the past five years. Four years ago, a lot of you asked for a fake Eurovision where each one of us would send songs and get to vote. And that was it: the Eurovision Times Song Contest, from then on known as ETSC.
We’ve therefore had 11 editions of ETSC, two in 2014: July 2014 and August 2014, both won by France; the third edition was held in July 2015 and won by the United-Kingdom; the fourth edition was held in Augusut 2015 and was won by Austria; the fifth edition was held in July 2016 and was won by Israel; the sixth edition was held in August 2016 and won by Denmark; the 7th edition was held in July 2017 and was won again by France; the 8th edition was held in August 2017, and it was the first one that went “blind”, meaning people did not know who sent what. It crowned Greece. Last year, German-speaking countries got their revenge as Switzerland won ETSC 9 and Germany won ETSC 10! This July, Sweden just won for the first time with Junior Brielle‘s “Love“. For more information, you can discover our new page dedicated to the contest, with its history, all songs participating and the rankings here. A specific article for Top 10 stats was also open here. You can also find it by clicking on the “Specials” section of the site, in the top menu in the red box, just under the site’s name. “ETSC 12 – August 2019” will be officially held in Stockholm.
After a first round open for people to sign up with a country and send a song, we got 42 people in. In the meantime, to keep us busy, I made a random draw. I also made personal postcards for each entry which will be revealed along with the songs. Everyone can request to see their own postcards for now.
There’s at least one ETSC returnee… Songs are (or at least partially) in English, Arabic, Russian, Albanian, Armenian, Croatian, Estonian, French, Georgian, Greek, Hungarian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Serbian, Spanish, Turkish and Ukrainian… Also 20 acts are groups, duets or “featuring” with 22 solo artists!
Before the show starts, we get the live reprise of the winning song:
Rules: the voting will open tomorrow at midnight (time of Paris)! You can vote until Sunday 25th at midnight! Results will be revealed in the last week of August! In order to do promotion, you need to email me all materials you want to post (including lyrics translation). Once you’ve voted, you can not change your votes, so wait until you’re sure. Also, you have to send me your 11th and 12th in case something goes wrong and we sadly have a DQ. Moreover, you need to send me a city, a hall venue and a host for the next edition if you win!
Good luck everyone!
who cares who wins the crown? there’s only one throne, and guess who sits on it
Great picture!
:)
Film posters of the Russian Avant Guard.
Love!
ahah oops :p
*garde
Selena’s Kake reader? Very nice selection of books she has! You can never go wrong with Russian avant garde graphic design and Tom of Finland :-)
lol yeah, she has good taste lol
Best! 😃
the other pile was good too, less avant garde lol, I’ll try to take a picture of that one another time lol
Please do! I have carefully curated statement piles too in my house 😃
Well tbf some of them are my bf’s books people shouldnt forget Im married and dont live alone… we just “read” those during morning coffee in the red chair that’s why they’re there and they switch regularly and we’re actually reading the other pile right now (the one closest to the chair lol)
My piles have reading and browsing functions too, of course. They keep changing, but there are eternal favourites too. They used to be like a mini book fair or exhibition, but there are not that many piles anymore.
how come?
I have all my books, records, photographs, slides, dvd’s VHS’s etc., downstairs in the studio space. It doubles as library of the things I’m interested in. In living spaces upstairs I keep just small selection. Now as I buy less and less visual books, magazines or books as I have went pretty much digital, there is no need for so many piles 😃
I think I buy more and more visual books, magazines or books. Not to mention DVDs
It used to be favourite hobby of mine, magazines and visual books! Of magazines only New Yorker and Art Forum are still as print, and of coffee table books, I only buy regularly art books, mainly of conceptual and performative arts.
The instagram account of a Russia photographer you may find interesting:
Yes, I do. I really love this kind of social commenting and observation by photographing. Thanks!
Haha, great pic!
I see some white hair on the chest🙂
no demon after all
Yeah Selena ❤️
Look I fixed it:
lol cute!
So, in the end she sat on the throne. Selene the first, Queen of the Andals and all Francophones. :P
Magical crown with stars orbiting it. So Selena! 😃
She looks like Hjallis now. :)
Is it prediction time?
Not yet.
Not before midnight!
Off-topic, would you prefer to be hanged, shot or beheaded?
Lol, in Norway, Denmark and Iceland it doesn’t say “guillotine” but simply “beheaded”. Did they use an axe?
Yes, a viking one from their national museums :-)
Non war related death penalties are non existent in Finland since 1825, with one notable exception from 1943, of which I didn’t know until now. Thanks to Google, I now know that serial ax killer with six victims was executed. Don’t think it would have happened if we weren’t in war with Soviet Union at that time. However good to note that death penalties during the civil war and especially after it, Winter war and Continuous War in many cases have nothing to do with justice, not even war justice. The civil war death penalties are still hotly debated on both sides.
Short of being shot directly through the head, I’d take the guilotine. It may be gruesome but it’s the quickest. I hope the brain doesn’t live long afterwards :-P
They say in chicken farms chicken can walk around headless for a few seconds so make your judgement
I’d take quilotine too, but mainly because of it’s very high brand value in these circles 😃
ROFL 😆
😃
The most controversial, legendary I’d say, capital punishment case in post-civil war (1949) Greece:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aristidis_Pagratidis#Questionable_guilt
The Ogre of Sheik Sou!
Shot in the head would be the least painful I guess.Hanging is NO and if beheading is ISIS style then that is the worst … Guillotine can be less painful too
Ηanging is very quick if the neck is broken. Our last executed criminal was a guy who burnt alive his wife, two children and his mother-in-law. I think he got off pretty lightly for what he did…
But there is a chance it may not be broken😜I think the worst way of dying is through fire or drowning
oops just this comment ;)
just saw
our last guillotine was probably innocent, and you couldnt appeal because “the citizens can’t be wrong in a democracy”: while there is no death penalty since 1981 legally, one can appeal a crime court decision only since 2002! citizens can be wrong after all!
The infamous “red sweater” affair was actually NOT our last guillotine, but one before last! https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Affaire_Christian_Ranucci
The last execution in Greece took place on a day like this 47 years ago:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_punishment_in_Greece
that’s very offtopic; shot for me for sure
Lol sorry for this, as a kid I was unnaturally fascinated with famous trials and executions. The more horrific, the more nightmares they gave me (and still do). Which is weird because I never watch any horror films for example. But I think what bothered me was that all this was real, not fiction.
Firing squad is like a thousand horses kicking you. And you don’t die always which is why they have to administer the coup de grâce. So it’s a no.
This was our last one.
José Joaquim, known as “O Grande” (the big one). Rape and murder of a woman in Algarve.
Meanwhile we’re still executing (sometimes innocent) people here in the US. Being beheaded creeps me out way too much, so anything but that for me please.
I hate the death penalty. On the other hand, over here we have the issue of convicted killers who walk out after 15 or 20 years because nobody serves more than two-thirds of their term. It disturbs my sense of justice profoundly to know there are killers walking free among the loved ones of their victims. I want life in prison to mean life in prison, nothing less.
I’m also very against the death penalty. It’s become more of a debate in American politics whether we should continue it and my state has had it abolished for years, but still many Americans support it.
Here convicted murderers really never get out of prison unless they somehow managed a plea bargain or they won an appeal, but that’s generally rare. My personal beliefs are that prison should be focused on rehabilitation instead of punishment, so if a convicted murderer does end up legitimately becoming a changed person through psychiatric treatment, therapy, and self-reflection I do not mind them being released, but unless that’s explicitly proven I agree that life in prison should be set in stone.
I looked up the death penalty in the USA when this discussion popped up here last month (or whenever it was) and found out that New Hampshire actually got rid of it earlier this year. However, it only prevents new people from being convicted to death. There is currently one person on death row in NH whose trials and court sessions have been ongoing since 2006 when he was found guilty of having shot an on-duty police officer, so his case remains unaffected by the new law. That being said, as no one has been executed in NH since the 1930s, if I’m not mistaken, NH has no facility in which to perform an execution at the moment. So unless the ruling on this man’s case changes or he dies of natural causes before his scheduled execution, NH has to build an execution facility to be used on one person before it is shut down – a rather large sum of money for the state to invest for one lethal injection.
In my senior year of high school I did a project on the death penalty in the US. It’s an insane waste of money and resources, especially considering how morally grey the death penalty is.
I completely understand. I had to debate in favor of the death penalty my senior year of high school. There’s truly nothing positive about it. It’s expensive, both for trials and the actual execution; people are wrongly executed; it fails to deter crime; and it is easily botched, whether it’s with guilloutine, lethal injection, electric chair or otherwise. It has many drawbacks and fails at its supposed benefits. Hopefully more of the world will continue to move away from this babaric pratice in the future.
Agreed. Not to be a snobby Northeasterner, but I just wish the rest of the country could get on track with us. Not just on this issue, but a lot of them.
Morgan, I will give you a challenge. Can you make the scoreboard look like this one?
I dont think so, it would take too much space out of 42
I have voted.
Now can you guess what i am?
Malta or Morocco.
Croatia, Belarus or Romania
Your guesses fit my Eastern pattern btw
You open your computer on a hot Sunday afternoon and you see posts about your prefered method to be executed. lol
I’ll offer a breezy video that’s perfect for a hot day like this. This is Milos:
Another great one, Oxi. I think those videos are provide a smoother transition to the prediction game :P
;)
The only thing I would object to regarding the Antipaxoi video is the too many boats :(
Yes it’s like Ithaca. Gorgeous but you will find a pleasure boat even on the remotest beach.
But a lot of the songs will be executed by the voters ( I am afraid that mine might be too :-P) so perhaps it is quite an apt subject :-P
So, you don’t expect another top-5 finish?
Well I didn’t expect that the last time either.
I did expect Italy to be a favorite. I predicted it the 3rd or 4th favorite to win. If you tell me which country you HoD this time i can tell you whether to anticipate good things or not. :P
I am a pessimist by nature. Plus this time maybe I didn’t choose right.
Being a pessimist too, i can relate to that even though. judging by your wordpress presence you never really struck me as a pessimist.
Privately I am, even though I don’t feel the need to bring that in my interactions here. Anyway, the more the results come closer, the more I am contemplating preferred methods of execution :-P
What about a lethal injection? :P
Drip drip with every result that comes in…
Wish I was there!
Very beautiful beach, PJ. I guess, it’s not on the Atlantic coast(?)
all of France’s most beautiful beaches are in our over sea territories
Which is your favorite beach in continental France?
I don’t think I know many considering I’ve lived abroad as a kid/teen and then lived in Paris lol! but my grandmother lives by Sables-d’Or-les-Pins (mother side) and my grandparents live near Lacanau (father side) while my husband’s family is from Soulac-sur-mer! so these three I know! I also know how awful Nice’s beach is lol
Both Nice and Cannes are pure horror when it comes to beaches. Only urban beaches I love are Ipaneman and Leblon. It’s not just the cariocas who perceive beach as park and open air extension of their lives, integral part of it, but they both oozes mid century Brazilian coolness and that’s how you actually define coolness :-)
It is. Near Setúbal, just below Lisbon. (btw, we only have Atlantic coast, even in the South :) )
Aren’t the ocean waters cold and fierce?
Yes, cold (19-20 degrees in Summer). In Algarve (the south coast) is much better, because of the Mediterranean influence. But it’s never as warm as in Greece :)
This is one-of many- beach bars 20 min, from where i live:
Beautiful! 20 min walk or drive?
Drive!
I’m only familiar of the beaches and small villages north of Porto. I really loved them, the power of Atlantic. Hope to return one day :-)
We’ll be ready to receive you :)
Thank you! :-)
Because I am in Marmaris…
Looks like paradise to me! Where in Turkey is that?
It says so in the video – Marmaris.
Dont recall the name but one of the coves in Marmaris… Also this one is my fave but its in Ölüdeniz
Wow! But I wouldn’t be rowing there! ;)
Did people see the full postcards btw?
Yes ;)
Listening to the songs once again in order to be accurate in my predictions :P
I didn’t start doing any scoreboards or logos yet! I noticed many people forgot to send me info, while I’ll try to collect some, I’m afraid people will construe they’re not going to win based on that, but if indeed someone forgot and would actually win, I think I’d create a cityless logo for the time being!
What info?
for hosting!
Has everyone voted ?
far from it (and that got me worried)
It is quite a difficult edition, there will probably many last minute voters… how many are left?
*be
:-(
I didn’t realize that I was supposed to send that information in earlier e-mails; the way it’s worded made it sound like only the actual winner was supposed to send that information. I can send an e-mail today if you’d like, in case I should win. Would you like that?
I take the liberty to answer on his behalf. I think he’d like that :P
LOL
I never send.. Sometimes Morgan asks for it and I get hopefull then the result comes🤣🤣🤣
LOL, that’s kind of my fear too, especially as I can’t at all gauge how I’m going to do this time around. Oh well, I’m prepared to belly-flop 😂
The best strategy is: always prepare yourself for the worst… from there, it can only get better ;)
Me too, I never send… but then the problem is sometimes he remembers to ask, and sometimes he doesn’t…. lol
that’s why I decided that if needed, I’d do a cityless logo, that way it doesn’t get too “obvious” either :p I had to push Oxi around to get his info for etsc 8 ahah but I actually am sure people who won would admit I hid it pretty well in my comments!
Well it’s only for the logo beforehand because during close contests I use many logos to throw people off
Okay. Maybe I’ll get to experience that this time around? I’ll know in a few days time… :D
🇸🇪 As voting period is ending and prediction game is about to begin, we celebrate the occasion with most Swedish way!
A crayfish party is a traditional summertime eating and drinking celebration in the Nordic countries. The tradition originated in Sweden where a crayfish party is called a kräftskiva. The tradition has also spread to Finland, espescially to coast side.
Crayfish parties are generally held during August, a tradition that began because the crayfish harvest in Sweden was, for most of the 20th century, legally limited to the late summer. Nowadays, the kräftpremiär date in early August has no legal significance. Dining traditionally takes place outdoors. Customary party accessories are novelty paper hats, paper tablecloths, paper lanterns and bibs. A rowdy atmosphere prevails amid noisy eating and traditional drinking songs, snapsvisor.
Alcohol consumption is high, especially when compared to the amount of food actually consumed. It is considered customary to suck the juice out of the crayfish before shelling it. Also the dagen efter, the hang over should be phenomenal after drinking way too many snaps.
Akvavit and vodka snaps are served, as well as beer. The crayfish are boiled in salt water and seasoned with “crown dill” harvested after the plant has flowered, no seed should hit the water – then served cold, cracked with special knife and eaten with the fingers. Bread, mushroom pies, strong Västebotten cheese, salads and other dishes are served buffet-style.
Anyone who ever has claimed having Nordic soul here, step in the front of the queue. This is your rite of passage 😃
Great! I wonder if Mermy likes to eat crayfish like they do it in those food videos :P
Indeed! And most of all does she like to overdose with scnappses? 😃
I’d like fruity, white wine, please.
Sorry, there’s only akvavit, vodka and beer. For beginners I recommend sticking to vodka only. 😃
Ok, you can have your own bottle, but let’s keep it under the table. Besides, after second schnapps it really becomes really easy 😃
Yes, i’ll do that. lol
Then again, this is your rite of passage most of all. Let me be your sensei 😃
I am not a picky eater. I can try any food 😉
except mushrooms, they’re the devil
I love mushrooms
no
One of my all time faves😉
No. I mean if you make this sound while eating them :P
The sucking sound? Probably😁
🇸🇪 Here’s your short guide to snaps visor! Remember, after singing you take the snaps. You don’t sip it, it’s bottoms up! Booklets for the lyrics are provided! And we are looking forward hearing and learning drinking songs from all over the world during the night!
🇸🇪 Our party location is Millesgården – an oasis just 20 minutes from downtown Stockholm on the island of Lidingö, known for it’s wealthy residents, beautiful villas on landscaped gardens and of course for being the place where Abba magic happened. Both couples lived there during tue heydays of the band.
The Millesgården artist home was built in 1908 by sculptor Carl Milles and his wife painter Olga Milles. Millesgården is today a
well-renowned museum with an artist home, an antique collection and a a vast sculpture garden with spectacular views over the sea to Stockholm.
Careful with selfies, it really steep!
Vi ska nada nakna!
*bada
Looks beautiful!
It’s truly amazing. I have always been fascinated by these early 20th century artist homes. Millesgården is top notch. We have very good ones in Finland too, as main movers and shakers of our national romantic movement – writers, artists, composers and architects – wanted build their houses to landscapes to match their vision of Finland.
🇸🇪 and this is how you eat it!
Whoever manages to eat this should get a certificate🤣
First timers always sit by someone who can show the ropes, but it actually takes several parties to master :-)
Check your email.
Thanks 😃
Sucking is an instict. You don’t need necessarily a tutor :p !
LOL Not to that part 😃
Dismembering looks quite creepy if you are not eating the actual thing. Rob will have a nightmare in case we watches this video.
It does and that’s the part you need the tutoring for. Also we might not tell Rob that these creatures are put in the boiling water alive.
I was once stoned in crayfish party. Not a good idea. All I could think about was that crayfishes are related to cockroaches with plenty of cousins in New York City 😃
But I’m a vegetarian :(
There’s salads, mushroom pie and Västerbotten cheese too. Much easier to eat and if you concentrate on them you wont get that drunk :-)
Ah thank you. Don’t worry though I will most definitely be getting drunk.
Great! Hope your grand father has thought you some Albanian drinking songs!
Unfortunately I don’t think I have any Albanian, but I can definitely provide some Lithuanian.
Ah, that’s more than ok!
🇸🇪 Quiz time again! In snapsvisa video of course is dreadful Mello contestant Edward Blom, but there is also a true Mello classic on that couch. Who and why? This person also has yet another tie to Mello. What is that?
Morgan, you are not eligible! 😃
What?! but for once I know! Fine, here’s one for you: guess who I am
How many are left to vote?
9! But I have heard from 5 already! the last 4 are usually the last voters so I’m hopeful we’ll get all votes in
You used to look like this when you made one of all time electro pop classics!
Her mega-hit “Voyage Voyage” was huge here and is considered the most memorable French song in Greece for the last 40 years.
I actually considered it a few years ago as the French entry for the nostalgia edition in FdlC.
It would have been my 12 points, I just love it! And yes, it holds the same position in Finland too 😃
I know you know! Let’s just give a chance to other HoDs too to make this a tie!
Meanwhile…Mello Stars – Where are they now?
Margaret’s fuzzy peach…extra large…super absorbent…available in stores…$21,90 only.
ROFL Absorbs everything, except tele or jury votes.
That one’s in the making. Wait for Mello 2020, Tempo 2 – The Sequel…
Recuring nightmare is always the worst.
It’s part of the game. The Mello has a history of recurring nightmares.
That’s unfortunately part of it’s charm too.
Any news from those left to vote?
Yeah from 2 more
So how many left?
And now 1 has voted lol! 6 voters left and 5 told me they’d vote in time the last one was sent a message yesterday and often votes late ;)
So it is very likely to loose some.
I think on the contrary it’ll be fine
And I can imagine results are on Tuesday the earliest?
Earliest but Im thinking Wednesday; scoreboards arent ready!
Not during the weekend?
might be long to wait fo people for results?
I’ll go with what is best for you and rest, of course. If wednesday, then I just wish earlier start than last time.
It was a harder one to vote, because many more songs are more listenable this time around for me. Hence a lot of songs needed more relistens than the usual ETSC
This is the first year I enjoyed both yearly editions pretty equally!
Ooh ooh ooh ooooh, results are coming…
A yeah yeah yeah
https://media1.tenor.com/images/04e971049085a78b5d213fc0da82efe2/tenor.gif?itemid=11792558
LOL There’s an oooh for every possible outcome 😃
Going through results I saw that “Without a Map” was the only top 10 CZE ever got at ETSC ! Maybe I should give the Czech Republic another try next year hmmm ;)
And Bosnia got 2/3 Top 10 after all. But without participating in esc we have difficulties finding songs for them ;)
I discovered this band and brought it to VFoS recently.
I don’t see a very strong correlation between esc participation and ETSC participation. E.g. Tunisia has never participated in esc nor it well but it has a frequent ETSC presence. Plus CZE has been participating in esc for 5 years in a row now.
Comment of the day…
I am watching a documentary on Mozart. The violinist Gil Shaham says (while taking out a Mozartkugel from his pocket): “You know the thing about Mozart is, finally… finally there’s a composer with balls!”.
ROFL
I thought Franz Liszt had quite a pair, and Leonard Bernstein 😃
🇸🇪 And tonight we are entertained with Swedish ”visor” by Tommy Körberg, a national treasure, who has done ESC twice ’69 and ’88. In 1988 after acclaimed lead in Chess’ original London production, he came to Dublin as hot favourite, only to get severe flu leading to lack lustre performance to put it mildly. This is one of my all time ESC favourites, yet another one from Sweden, I know. Let’s take a look at the Mello performance. And yes, this could have been from Chess.
Fun fact: This is Sweden’s only ballad in the 80’s.
🇸🇪 Här kommer Tommy! He will be doing also his biggest hits and ETSC medley.
Bloody hell! Am I the only one here who loves Stad i ljus? 😃
I like it, too… I often like the Swedish ballads better than their uptempo entries… Se pa mig is another example and so is Den Vilda…
Oh and not to forget Kärleken är…
I don’t like this one but I agree with the other two. Are you planning to join VFoS?
I would like to, yes… I have a song from 2015 which I would like to submit and next year’s editions would be out of the question because of the 5 year-rule… do you have the not-older-than-5-years-rule in VFoS, too?
The threshold in VFoS is 2000. But unlike ETSC we have a residenship rule of 10 years for the country your artist should represnt. I will most probably kick off the next edition on the 10th. Have a look at the rules section and if you have any questions email me and Michos.
I do… thanks a lot…
Glad to hear! Especially as those two are also big favorites of mine :-) Of the fast Swedes Euphoria is my biggest favourite and love Dance You Off too. Waterloo is more like a sacred object nowadays, can’t really say anything about it as music anymore. Ah! And let’s not forget Det börjar verka kärlek, banne mig from ’68. Another Swede on fast track I love :-)
Eeeeelooooiiiise … ♫♪♫ <3
Euphoria still is my all time ESC favourite… everything was just perfect about it IMO…
From the faster tracks before 2000 (ABBA aside), I think I like Främling best. Ofc it’s fast food music, but she had s.th. very fresh on her back then… unlike her two later appearances where she mostly has been professional and somehow more “product”…
Then I liked Monica Törnell and Lasse Holm for being crazy, daring and fun-loving.
From the more recent entries, I have Lena Ph., Greta-mother Malena, Sanna and Frans on my list…
Unfortunately, Ingrosso is among the ones I dislike the most. But then again, I never liked Heroes, too, so I’m no indicator. The worst Swedish song IMO has been Las Vegas, I will NEVER get how this could possibly beat Nanne… not in a million years…
Now that is the biggest travesty of all time in Mello! Främling is my favourite Carola, I like it a lot. She was fresh, it is a quality schlager, one of the best maybe even the best by Lasse Holm. I wouldn’t have said no if it had won. E’ de’ det här du kallar kärlek is universally not liked here, I do like it as does our MF guru Niclas who we haven’t seen here for such a long time. Also Bra vibrationer is one of my big favorites. Yeah, it seems I’m in Lasse’s pocket as Arja Saijonmaa’s Högt över havet crashing to second place is as almost as big travesty as case Nanne. Lena Ph is on my list, also with Dans i neon. I think that Det gör ont is best of their noughties schlager era. Malena, Sanna and Frans are all in my no no list with Anna Bergendal. And hey, let’s not forget Perrelli. Take Me to Your Heaven I like, fresh old fashioned dans band schlager, Heroes I like for the sheer absurdity of the performance and styling of our schalager diva :-)
Anna Bergendal bottom my list. I even don’t want to remember her songs name, though I hate Las Vegas more :-)
And one more. They closed 80’s in high note with Tommy Nilssons En dag.
Wow, this is exhausting as I haven’t talked about The Ark and Arvingarna. What else have I forgotten :-)
I don’t think modern era ESC will see anything as perfect and striking as Euphoria for many years to come.
yeah “Las Vegas” is very random, but not as random as “You”, which is by far their weakest entry this century, and on home soil too! a second chance should never win because it’s obviously not gonna grasp the one night only voters of esc! and it was the boringest performance ever coming from Sweden!
You is just hateful.
You was definitely a huge disappointment for a home entry, esp. since they had better options. My favourite in that year was Louise Hoffsten…
JayJay, Ulrik or Yohio <3
I like it actually, but think his MF performance is better than his esc performance, and think it was better than Lena’s ballad actually! It’s definitely better than boogaloo or the 86 horror… but “En dag” is even better :p
Can we start predicting?
Now I think.
