  1. Malawi guy hugging his daddy

  2. We do realize now we lost 3 not just 1 3 GREAT ETHNIC SONGS for the likes or rubbish

    • Serhat in the final is purely a disgrace moment for the contest. Period.

    • yeah usually one or two folksy tunes do well with televote and therefore overall, but this SEMI (not the entire year, not the final, but this SEMI) had too many great televote friendly songs with Australia, Iceland and San Marino, so they stole the points the folk tunes needed to overpass juries hating them

  3. That’s one of the most disappointing semi final results I’ve seen in a very long time, possibly since 2010

  4. WOW that was surprising! SM clearly was a shocker, also I took Hungary for granted

  5. I really thaught Portugal would qualify, but maybe it was too different then, but that stage presence was amazing! So idk glad Slovenia made it and Icelands live was my favourite one in a long time! Fucking amazing!

  6. OK what just happened there?!

  7. Get ready for more WTFs on Thusday

  8. On the other hand, if I have survived “Blackbird” missing the final in 2017, I can survive everything in eurovision.

  9. After this outcome Anders will be quitting the contest for good…

  10. Oooooh they are some qualifiers. Belarus ROFL (did anyone see that coming?) AM so happy for Slovenia and San Marino. Sad for Portugal and Belgium.

    • Well, BLR did come across as very energetic tonight and thought it might kick POL or POR out but yet again I was like ”the song isn’t that strong” to do it after all.

      • I suppose so. Good for them though.

        • Not good IMO. I applaud the effort they put in, they nailed it but there were better songs around.

          • True but the public have chosen and who knows maybe even the juries liked it lol. It might win the whole thing and send it all tits up! LOL

    • I honestly did see Belarus qualifying after tonight’s performance. I don’t like it, but I can understand why it went through.

On the other hand, San Marino is beyond comprehension. The guy way off key almost all of the song.

I would swap San Marino and The Intruders (read Australia) for Portugal and Hungary.

      • Lol. I loved San Marino but I know it is what it is (pretty poor, yes) I enjoyed it. I suppose the voters were in an energetic, lively mood tonight

  11. I’m devastated 😭 Zenny from the block, disco daddy and that greasy guy instead of Conan, Tulia and Joci?

    At least Slovenia made it.

  12. Second time in three years I lose my #2.

  13. The best male vocals tonight are out. Do we get this?!

  14. So gutted over Poland. Their performance was just fantastic.

I said from day one that Portugal won’t make it.

Happy to see San Marino through, even though Serhat was off key until beginning of second verse. Staging was surprisingly messy overall, they served the best parts in the clips.

Zena gave strong performance among the puke fest they called staging. Still very surprising to see it making it.

  15. Link to press conference:

  16. Now wait and see Croatia qualifying on Thursday! :)

  17. Obviously the way the reveal came through I am blessed Cyprus was revealed before the avalanche otherwise I would have gotten a stroke.

    • So POR misses out the way it happened to SRB and DNK after hosting the previous year. Norway was almost there in 2012.

  18. If the juries helped San Marino to qualify, I will insist that the EBU asked them to do so in order to keep the country in the contest. I hope that they will do the same for MAK on Thursday. ;)

  19. I’m gutted for Shevek… He supported so much his country’s entry this year.
