  1. I think Mahmood sounded better in this rehearsal! At least it sounded good on the livestream. This one should be top 5, such a cool song!

  2. Great reception for Italy! Woo hoo! And they say he’s emotional.

  3. I hope that Austria and Albania reach the final.

  4. Watched the clips from FRA, ESP and ISR.

Bilal has improved a lot vocally and the presentation is indeed leaving a strong impact. Top 10 is plausible.

Spain : Miki has improved vocally too! Unfortunately, I can’t relate to the stage approach at all. Too dark and that illuminated “robot” seems too threatening and futuristic for such a song. Disappointing I can even see the man operating the robot. Why does Miki hold a selfie stick later on? What a mess! Back to #14-20 territory

Israel is what it is. Good vocals but I strongly dislike the song

    • I loved France and Spain for what they are. Neither is me per se, but had them 18th and 15th pre-rehearsals with Spain climbing almost every day. Both singers are not “vocalists” but have passion in what they do and actually believe in sharing that for 3mns on stage. Both performances work for me, even though Spain should have gone for carnavale colors and I don’t get the giant robot at all, it kills the mood completely! Not to mention the selfie stick (we see the audience in the backdrop that way: it’s connected!) But besides that, Mister Congeniality is a bowl of fresh air!

First time ever France looks like it got a stage director?! what the hell?! Last year everyone here complained Madame Monsieur was cold and had no real sense of purpose. It’s good their “disappointing” 13th place gave France a wake up call. Now we have to wait for the time a great song/singer win DE (but it’s looking more and more possible as last year Silvan or Seemone would have been easy top 10 in esc 2019 I reckon) and with this stage director we could go all the way one day :o

  5. Duncan’t light ball up close:

    4. POL 8/10
    5. CZE 8/10
    6. AUS 8-/10
    7. CYP 7.5/10
    8. GRC 7/10
    9. SRB 7/10
    10. HUN 7-/10
    11. BLR 6.5/10
    12. EST 6.5/10
    13. SMR 6/10
    14. GEO 6/10
    15. BEL 6/10
    16. FIN 5/10
    17. MNE 3/10

  7. Madonna hints at her Eurovision final interval act performance:

  8. I have just talked to my sister. My 10 year old niece described Australia as a mix of Queen of the Night and Harry Potter last night. She loves both but thought AUS19 weird nevertheless.
