Eurovision Song Contest 2018 Tonight

Lisbon 2018 – This is it! Finally! After one year, and a long season, tonight we will finally watch the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. 26 countries are taking part and only one will win. When you sit down to watch it and would like to discuss it, please do so here.

The show will be hosted in Portugal’s Altice Arena, by Filomena Cautela, Sílvia Alberto, Daniela Ruah and Catarina Furtado. It’s set to last for three hours. 1. It’s fun, there’s plenty of silliness and it’s good for a sing along.
About time we had a fun winner.

    Congratulations Israel.

  2. Well done Israel (my second favourite song audio) and Netta. Really wanted Cyprus to win. Actually am not disappointed at all with Ireland’s placing, we made the final and it’s our best since Jedward’s 8th. Delighted for Austria and Czech Republic my 4th and 3rd favourites on audio too. I enjoyed the show though it was long. The voting was insane.Loved it. I won some Euros too as I did a flutter also on Israel and a few Top 10ers oh and sorry but I also made some money on Portugal coming undeservedly last as I sensed it was going to do the same when Austria hosted.Well done though on hosting a great contest and being a fabulous hosts in Lisbon.

  3. Oh no Portugal is last. :-(

  4. Congratulations to Israel but i have to say that small Countries like Cyprus, Malta, Montenegro, San Marino and Iceland always are going to be blocked from first place. Small Countries can reach until 2 place but no winning .

    • the ex soviet countries, Moldova and Ukraine, got both Top 10 in televote! countries like France who never play dirty (and has been ignored by most of its neighbours), will never have that extra televote push either

      • That’s what Cyprus and Portugal have been saying years now and look what have happened revently. France can do so as well. Turn to Italy for example. Televote appreciates their songs.

    • It’s very hard for small countries and countries with no neighbours. Portugal won with a very special song and singer and with a record number of points. It’s either that or several last places. This year we were last.

  5. well done Israel, one of my least favourites to be honest :D
out of the top 10 I only really liked Italy and Denmark (so I guess overall I did agree with the televoting more than the juries)

    • Norway won the second semi,Hungary 10th.Lithuania barely made it from first semi. The bookies got this all wrong.

    • Surprised Russia was so far from qualifying. also shame about Montenegro, it was my favourite song overall but the performance could have been better

  6. Well done Netta.

  7. Congratulations Israel. Much before this edition kicked I posted couple of times that the winner gonna be an uptempo stuff after a line up of melancholic-dramatic stuff. Especially after last year’s winners announcements it was clear that Toy type of song was needed to save ESC’s entertaining reputation. Israel’s victory is well deserved but to be honest watching the show my fingers were crossed for Cyprus because of various factors including some political ones . Anyways glad Foureira proved that she could do great job for Greece if she wasn’t ignored.
Also Im very happy with Swedish fail in televoting. Good slape for Sweden and a sign that it’s time for being less bland.

  8. .Final outcome of the greek jury : 12p. went to Be proud of our nation, 10p. to Support our friends, 8p. to Let’s establish good relations with those in power, 1-7p. to Oh gosh they asked us to judge music when we have no clue about it.
