Eurovision 2018 – We’ve seen the rehearsals, we’ve seen the full TV performances and we saw who qualified from the semi-finals… and some countries’ betting odds have changed dramatically over the last two weeks in response! Let’s take a look at how it stands today, the day of the 63rd Eurovision Song Contest…
After taking an early lead, Israel wobbled a bit and was overtaken by Cyprus, who shot up the odds from literally 200-1 at one stage to 5/4 today! Israel is still strong in 2nd place at 3/1.
The other big surprise after the semi-final was Ireland who has rocketed up into 3rd place in the odds, currently at abut 9/1, when previously not many thought they would even qualify out of the semi-final.
Sweden, as always, is still hovering in the top 5, but Germany has been a surprise climber, as former favourites Estonia, Czech Republic and Norway have dropped in the odds.
Do you think the bookies have got it right this year? There’s a lot of money being placed on Eleni’s ‘Fuego‘. Will it be Limassol 2019?
