Romania – Tonight sees the fourth semi-final in Romania’s Selecţia Naţională 2018 competition. You can watch from 20.00(CET) on the live webcast via tvrplus.ro. There will be 5 semi-finals of 60 acts. Only three acts will qualify from each semi-final for the national final on 25th February.
The acts competing tonight are:

P.S. – I’ve just noticed that the last semi and FdC’s 1st semi will be aired at the same time. Dora Gaitanovici will be singing there and I must not miss her live rendition.

Not really, but he effort and ‘Lo Malo’ are the best in that genre, so far.
After her father died she canceled all her appearances, so people assumed she was withdrawing. But she’s still competing.

GOSH Shevek, it’s actually pity Dora is not this week :(, the sound turned out to be the best of all semis, it’s so acoustic and great.. now they sing in Italian, sounds GREAT!

Ms. Gaitanovici does not need prerecorded anything:
She is better than Ilinca (last year Romanian entry) who is in jury this year to judge her.. Paradox! :/
She most certainly is and I am very curious to see how the jurors will rank her and her song.
When she will be competing? She has good song, great voice and lights that shine!

Zoltan’s song is quite interesting, it’s among the best in this semi, I hope he makes it, but I don’t know.
Lion’s Roar were the best so far, they stand out easy being a symphonic metal act, will probably qualify.
Finally a song with an interesting sound, I hope Tiri will qualify.

Yeah, the song is silly fun, I like it a bit, it’s maybe the best in the semi, but she has much better songs.
Sh sung in Romanian, she was really great performance, very good vocals..the color of her voice is very interesting… :)
Tiri deserved to reach the final. I think the jurors have been doing a good job up until now. Let’s hope they support Dora. Are there any big names in the next semi?
Indeed. The quality of these semifinals have been very low, but at least the best songs qualified and it seems the final will be decent. :)
I haven’t checked the last semi yet.
Judging by what we’ve seen and heard so far, I think Dora deserves a place in the final, but it’ll be difficult, I suspect.
I read that The Humans and SAVE are faves to qualify, I hope if that happens the 3rd spot is for Dora Gaitanovici – “Fara tine”..it depends on jury..

Good and fair call.
How powerful was Claudia Andas, she has blown me away! It was like an earthquake, full of emotion, we could see in the end when she almost cried…but what a powerful voice with that rock “snarling”, it was like a Romanian Bonnie Tyler at best days..
Feli was brilliant live with great outfit and backings, and interesting color of the voice..
Tiri was also brilliant, Romanian language gave some charm to that song..
This NF is full of trash, but final looks quite promising now with..though they all say it’s between Feli and Jukebox & Bella Santiago- “Auzi Cum Bate”, two big, competing, music labels standing behind them..
Waiting for Dora now to give me ballad in the final to support!! :)
The jurors are doing their job. The final is looking promising indeed. Dora seems to a complete unknown and she is only 17; let’s hope they agree with us and put her in the final.
I think that she is of Serbian decent actually!
Serbian surnames are with – “ic” in the end as you probably know…and Serbs in Romania during the time all added one more ‘i’ in the end of their surnames to sound Romanian. As you can see on Wiki article bout Serbs in Romania, if you scroll down you can find surnames like Petrovic + i, Belodedic + i, Ivanovci +i!

This performance was way too static.She needs to bring more energy on stage.Perhaps,she wasn’t feeling well due to the recent death of her father.We’ll see.
