First nomination and first win for FYROM! The balkans are still strong in Fridas (Slovenia and Montenegro in 2014, now FYROM!)
I’m SO happy FYROM won this! It was my fave in a very strong year of promo clips (BEL, AZE, LVA to name a few)
Congrats!!!! Love it!
It was hard between Belgium and FYROM for me. But I did love Azerbaijan’s too! Yeah a strong year for them: ALL from internal selection (if we add Armenia or France in the mix).
All of them are nice. My fav is Armenia.
Congrats FYR Macedonia!
Armenia’s video is top notch stuff.
Exactly ;)
What the fuck? Seriously? Armenia was totally in the league of it’s own. Travesty, absolute travesty this one. And on the top, I didn’t even vote on this category, which is travesty too.
Why didnt you vote?
For some reason I have missed this category! Beats me why.
I really haven’t seen this thread at all. Well, it wouldn’t have make any difference.
Hey, big cheers for your new and game changing take on political communications. Absolutely love it and this kind of change is really needed on the liberal and democratic side. I’m very pro EU and pro Europe. Good to feel proud about it for awhile. M&M is taking stance for free world. What’s not to love on these horrible times? Actually I think I’m in love with your president 😃
Especially in this video addressing Americans in English,he’s so sexy. :P
He is! 😃 Elysée Palace has been having fantastic week. He is sexy, smart and brave. Besides he must be first French president addressing anything in English. Even CNN was a bit miffed about this one. Touché!
he’s hot at least, his blue eyes call for a facial no?
Hahhahaa! Yes they do. He’s more than hot. He is first new wave liberal politician in remarkable post. Answered prayers!
I completely disagree with this choice, there were much better videos on offer; congrats!
Ι’m really surprised.Not.
I’m only interested in videos if there is an artistic reason to make one, and if the result is interesting from an artistic point of view. I can’t really find that dimension in this video which I don’t think contains much unique. Like the majority of videos it’s just a promotional clip.
Belgium was possibly the strongest one in that respect though I am personally not so fond of all that grey concrete and its dark mood – it just makes me sad…
I agree.
I think categorizing it as only a promo clip is a bit harsh and just because it doesn’t look artistic, doesn’t mean that it isn’t. I love the raw staging in this video and its enriching story that really moves me. I also really like its simplicity and clarity on what it wants to convey, rather then having a lot of artistic meanings that does hardly make any sense. I know that art is very subjective and interpretive, but from time to time a relatively clear message is really welcoming for me at least.
Fair enough :-)
Btw. Morgan, I think you forgot to add the More tag.
It is a bit of a spoiler this way, isn’t it.
tak!
Ingen årsag :-)
Yay! I’m happy :D
Like the first winner I have actually voted for lulz, Congratz FYR Macedonia! A really great video in both its story and elements!
I am happy that MAK has finally won sth ESC-related, even if it is only a Frida. ;)
Personally I think that Armenia was miles above anyone else in the category. I really liked Belgium too. Italy would be better if it had been shot in an office or yoga club imo.
Woo!
‘FYROM’s was my favorite from the bunch. The extremely fun, yet melancholic setting and the superb execution deserved recognition. It’s what pushed it beyond the other competitors
1. FYROM
2. Italy
3. Armenia
4. Azerbaijan
5. Belgium
Macedonia was really good, probably my #2. Still love Azerbaijan the most though.
I’m a bit surprised that FYR Macedonia won here. It is though a great video and I liked this one a lot too so congrats! :)
