“Paper” was written by Svala herself, along with Einar Egilsson, her husband, Lily Elise, and Lester Mendez! After winning Songvakeppnin 2017 on 14 March, it will be the Icelandic entry in Kyiv! The percentages of the results are listed below.

1st place: Iceland – 76 votes (51%)

2nd place: Latvia – 72 votes (49%)

This means that Iceland has moved onto the duel stages and that Latvia has been (barely) eliminated. Come back tomorrow for the results of the final group, the second-chance group 16!

  1. Blah blah blah to you and your ice queen fetish!

  2. Really close!

  3. Very close indeed. Had it been studio versions I would have voted on Latvia but I voted on the lives we’ve had so far and Tirana Park just haven’t brought that standard to their lives yet whereas Svala has.

  4. I like Svala but her song is awful.

  5. I like the Icelandic song better than the Latvian one, so I am glad it won. But I expected a close result.

  7. Wuuuuu! Feel the papercuts Latvia!! ;D

  8. I really like both, but do prefer “Paper”

  9. Go Svala!

  10. Ecpected close result.

  11. Wow, only 4 votes difference! :o I like both but Paper a bit more, so I’m glad it won.
