Lyrics:
(Taken from eurovision.tv)

Essere o dover essere
Il dubbio amletico
Contemporaneo come l’uomo del neolitico
L’intelligenza è démodé
Risposte facili…
Dilemmi inutili…
AAA cercasi (cerca sì) Storie dal gran finale
Sperasi (spera sì)
Comunque vada panta rei
And singing in the rain

Lezioni di Nirvana
C’è il Buddha in fila indiana
Per tutti un’ora d’aria, di gloria, Alè
La folla grida un mantra
L’evoluzione inciampa
La scimmia nuda balla
Occidentali’s Karma
Occidentali’s Karma
La scimmia nuda balla
Occidentali’s Karma

AAA cercasi (cerca sì)
Umanità virtuale
Sex appeal (sex appeal)
Comunque vada panta rei
And singing in the rain

L’evoluzione inciampa
La scimmia nuda balla
Occidentali’s Karma
Occidentali’s Karma
La scimmia nuda balla
Occidentali’s Karma
Om

  1. I really don’t like the gorilla live. It’s leaning on novelty act and didn’t get to be a SR favorite until the last night. So it’s not that instant… to people who do understand the language! Imagine in esc…

Good song, fun song, catchy song. Strong lyrics, cheeky performer. My current #4.

    • My first impression on the song’s melodic structure was not that good either. It started as a 6,5/10

    • Don’t like the gorilla either, I find it very annoying actually. But I believe it will lose some of its impact without it, because then it is no longer “the one with the gorilla”.

  2. For unknown reasons Belgium is losing ground and is now 6th in qualification chances below SWE, ARM, AUS, AZE and GRC

  3. I beg you Belarus to withdraw now from 2017! :(

  4. Boy Kostov is now #2 in odds. No pressure, dear Kris, but you do understand that you face to deliver? Could Kirkorov the Great come to guide this half Russian boy?

  5. Levina’s album “Unexpected” will be released on April 28 !

Also tomorrow is the video premiere of “Perfect Life (Madizin Remix) – snippet sounds promising and if it develops as it starts I hope they go for this version in esc (video on her facebook page) :

  6. I literally can’t listen to this song without smiling.

The amount of creativity put into this one surprises me to this day. While the ESC cut focuses more on the fun than the message, I feel it’s not as much of a haphazard cut as it was with Emma or Il Volo and shouldn’t affect TOO much, it DOES have the big key moments intact, so it should suffice, while the full sogn does the trick. I hope they keep a ratio between song and gimmick so it doesn’t grow tired.

And Lord knows that after all the drama, we could use a happy, spirited winner. This will stand out beautifully in Kiev.

  7. “Perfect Life” remix released :) !

  8. Just noticed something insane on YouTube.
Besides the official video having 100 plus million views, there are covers that have tens of millions of views.

There are so many videos with over a million views. It’s crazy.
I’m beginning to think that this may gain some traction over on this side of the Atlantic now.

Either way, this song is going to make people rich at the very least.

    • If this holds court and wins, it will be the second best winner ever after Euphoria.

It’s already one of the top 2 best entries by a male act. That I usually ignore 99% of the solo male entries tells you what regard I hold it in.

And I did something unprecedented: I actually purchased the original 3 1/2 minute cut which is the first time I willingly spent money on a solo male ESC song (outside the official album).
