Just like last year, we will witness Super Saturdays with many shows happening all at once. Instead of opening all threads, hard to follow for everyone, we decided to have just one thread for all shows to follow live so we can all discuss them together. Tonight: 4 shows including EL final!
Sweden – It’s the most anticipated National Final within the Eurovision Fandom and it resumes tonight with their fourth and last of the four semi finals. Melodifestivalen is finally here and we have some familiar faces taking part in this first edition.

The winner of each duel will reach the grand final and join the already qualified Nano, Ace Wilder, Mariette, Benjamin Ingrosso, Robin Bengtsson, Owe Thörnqvist, Jon Henrik Fjällgren feat. Aninia and Wiktoria.

Iceland – It’s time for the Söngvakeppnin! A rather small and cozy National Final is hosted every year by RÚV, Iceland. For the past few years, this is a two Semi-finals system, with a first round in Icelandic and a Final of 7 entries (3 from each semis, then 1 jury wildcard), which can be performed in Iceland or English. Last week, Aron Hannes Emilsson , Rúnar Eff Rúnarsson and Arnar Jónsson & Rakel Pálsdóttir qualified!
Tonight six acts will take the stage at Háskólabíó in Reykjavík. The line up is:

Lithuania – This is week 9 of the impossible to follow Lithuanian National Final. So based on what we gathered online, we have 8 more songs competing tonight with only 6 making it through. All of tonight’s entries have already performed before. Tonight’s show is hosted by Gabriele Martirosianaite and Ieva Stasiulevičiūte.
This is tonight’s line-up:

The jury is made of Darius Užkuraitis, Ramūnas Zilnys (music reviewer), Povilas Meškėla (singer) and Vytautas Lukočius (conductor). The show will be broadcasted on LRT tonight at 20:00 (CET) and can be watched here.
Estonia – Another big fan favorite, and the incumbent laureate for the Frida for Best National Final, Estonia’s Eesti Laul 2017 is finally coming to an end! We discovered the list, we heard the songs, we saw the semi performances, now it’s time to finally see them live!
Remember, in the semifinals: a live portion of the show took place in a Tallinn studio with artists discussing with hosts as the performances had been already been recorded and were be shown throughout. But for the final, it’s 100% live, and many artists have kept some surprises for tonight!
New hosts for tonight! As the final is hosted by Märt Avandi and Ott Sepp in the Saku Suurhall Arena in Tallinn. Tonight’s line -up is as follows:
- Liis Lemsalu – Keep running
- Koit Toome & Laura – Verona
- Karl-Kristjan & Whogaux feat. Maian – Have you now

- Daniel Levi – All I need
- Elina Born – In or out
- Ivo Linna – Suur lotteri

Out of the 10 entries participating tonight, the 3 superfinalists will make it with 50% televote and 50%jury, then the winner is selected by 100% televote only. The show starts at 18:30 (CET) and can be watched here.

Svala <3
A lot of girl screaming now. :p
Aron to final! Yay!
Verona in ESC and I was right Anton would beat Loreen. Perhaps I should start betting :-P
VERONA!!!! :))))
!!!!!!!
Shevek’s darling made it!lol
HILDUR IS THE JURY WILDCARD!
AH!
She was bitching the whole week about how she had problems with her mic and that it was unfair and that it played a role in her result.
So unbelievably happy about it!
Meh. What about my duet? :(
Hildur with that performance last week took the wildcard ? Really ? Ok..At least Aron made it.
Jesc entry made it too. It’s a male dominated final in Iceland but i hope sexy Svala will win in the end.
wildcard:Hildur.Mehhh
Oh and the geek song also made it ? Meh alright..
Rúnar, either of the 2 Arons or Svala FTW !
LOL

Rasmus was 5th with televoting,Kerli 2nd and Koit&Laura won televoting. That’s how they got in the superfinal.
Laura was born in 1988?I thought she was older. :-o
So she was about 17 when she wore the Daphne Duck shirt as a part of Suntribe in 2005? Makes a little more sense now lol.
Most probably I won’t be around for the Romanian, the Portuguese and the Greek NFs. Fingers crossed for Salvador in Portugal and one of the other two songs in Greece.
Goodnight, everyone.
Eesti Laul 2017 broke a record.100.000 voted in the first round and 81.000 in the superfinal.
A bit disappointed that Kerli didn’t win Eesti Laul but after watching the performance, I get it lol :/. Verona is still a good choice though, and I am starting to like their live a little more. Congrats to Laura for finally returning to ESC! “Destiny” was one of my favorite NF songs when I first started watching ESC.
Also sad for Loreen :/. Only songs in MF I like are by Mariette and Nano. Wiktoria’s is decent but not really for me.
In the MF final my support is for : Mariette, Robin, Wiktoria, Ace,Aninia (not Jon Henrik really) and Anton in no particular order. I do not particularly dislike any song, level is again quite high, I’d say Owe’s is my least favourite.
On the Estonian jury :
7 and 6 p to Lenna and Liis sound too much imo
Lena got 2 from televoting.Televoters were wiser.
I don’t know about wiser. I know that I agree :P
The performances in Iceland: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQ9R4-drIGc-2XtHuafcouQ/videos
Armenia’s song is ready and they will present it sometime next week. All this internal selections hyping is getting on my nerves.
Finally something more concrete other than “soon” that some countries use. Only (?) 6 undefined release dates to go (Serbia, FYR Macedonia, Czech Republic, Azerbaijan, Ireland, San Marino) and assumed russia doesn’t care.
And Bulgaria.I suppose they’re trying to create some suspense for their songs like Bulgaria did last year.As if that plays a role in anything if the song isn’t good.
I think Bulgaria said the 13th (last day) ?
Did they really?I haven’t read anything about it.
I have a tweet from BNT eurovision (that apparently now has been deleted that I recheck) that says the song will be presented until March 13th, I omitted the “until” part.
And unless they get an extension they don’t really have beyond that anyway.
Since no one is reporting this one, I am taking one for the ESC team :P
Sasha Song and Ieva out in Lithuania. Fusedmarc with a perfect 24, Aiste 2nd for first time.
I REALLY hope it’s her we will see in Kiev. 20 years trying, she deserves it :|
