  1. Gabi Tóth & Freddie Shuman feat. Begi Lotfi aka TOTOVA hands down. Its stunning. Song, performance, vocals, everything.

If not then Gigi Radics who is as competent as ever.

Kallay Sanders Band and Soulwave are also ok.

I dont particularly care for Joci or Leander Kills they are not bad but far from my taste.

Zavodi and Oliver Berkes are very dull and wanna be alt and hip but mostly fail to leave an impression. The piano trick is old news as well.

Gina Kanizsa cannot sing to save her life and is imo the weakest finalist.

Given that the jury decides the top 4 I predict it will be :

    TOTOVA
    Gina Kanizsa
    Zavodi and Oliver Berkes
    One of Gigi/Joci

  2. Zädovi and Gina are my personal favourites. But I like Soulway and Joci too. Kállay Saunders Band on the other hand gets more annoying the more I hear it.

  3. TOTOVA or Joce Papai for me!I also like Gina Kanizsa but the live performance isn’t up there, unfortunately. If TOTOVA wins she really needs to fine-tune her performance because this could easily go the Slovakia 2010 way.

  4. I’m almost equal on Totova and Papai Joci, I decided to vote for Gabi Tóth & Freddie Shuman feat. Begi Lotfi!

    * Gosh, i can’t get out of my head ARIADNE – “Feel Me Now” all the day! :O That elevator music this entry features is so haunting! :O

    We gotta get up
    The feeling won’t stop
    It’s foolish to hide
    That love is our guide
    I’ll be by your side
    All over the sky
    Let’s fly all night
    Come on feel me now

  5. I’m listening to Gina Kanizsa again. What the heck? This is a haunting melody and i liked the semifinal performance. An esc gem.

  6. I missed the Slovenian semi. :( Now that I am finally home, I must say that I voted for ‘Fall like rain’, my nº 1 song in A Dal, now that Orsi is out of the picture. Zävodi + Olivér Berkes have the other song that I love. Joci and Gabi Toth offer songs that I can also support.

  7. First time I listened to “Élet” and the hashtag song, they are not bad :) Gigi has a good voice but she doesn’t need to do all the tricks in a simple song… a power ballad seems like a better idea. “Fall Like Rain” is too complex to my ears, the vocalist of Soulwave sings bad, I hate 17 and “Hosszú idők” is weird ethno-electro, probably will score low in ESC. “Origo” is great! It’s catchy, I like the translation I’ve read and the style, but I don’t think he will win :( It needs a better staging.

  8. I have just listened to the snippets of the songs that will be presented in the 3rd heat of Genericfestivalen. Bella & Filippa’s song is the only one I could sort of warm up to.

  9. “Fall Like Rain” is my favourite song but it fails in so many levels live.
I’d say Origo here but Hungary will definitely not be bothering my top 10 this year :(

  10. Since I won’t be focusing on A Dal tomorrow and given that live performances are not going to change drastically from heats and semis, here’s my preference list for the Hungarian finalists :
    1.Joci Pápai 7/10
    2.Zävodi + Olivér Berkes 7/10
    3.Leander Kills 6,5/10
    4.Kállay Saunders Band 6,5/10
    5.Gina Kanizsa 6/10 (pity)
    6.Gigi Radics 6/10
    7.Totova 6/10
    8.Soulwave 4/10 (very weak live)

Average of songs in A Dal this year : 5.80
Jártam remains my favourite A Dal 17 entry despite the weak live

    • I ‘d like Joci Papai to win as well. Gabi Toth will prove to be Wiwi/Edurne material I am afraid. She needs to rethink that stage persona and those matadors of hers.
