  1. I wanted to express my enthusiasm about having Lenna Kuurmaa, Liis Lemsalu, Elina Born and Daniel Levi back who are some of the best artists to participate in EL over the years imo…

But my will to live on this planet and enjoy anything is nonexistant right now…

    • Trump’s victory was loomimg on the horizon. When people are angry and vote against and not for something/someone/circumstances, anything can happen and it did. Let’s hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

      • I m sorry on every such negative political development I try to find a silver lining to keep me going with all the every day challenges..But I cant find any now, no hope at all for our world..I have never been so devestated..

  2. Very promising list. and the quirky first song I heard by Antsud is just great!

  3. Agree with Morgan. A promising list, despite the lack of cool band names. Antsud are great, a lovely Nordic folk tune. It’s just right up my alley. Ivo Linna is a disappointment though. I was hoping for a new “Kaelakee hääl” or “Andesta”, not a new “Lihtne viis”. Won’t comment on the rest until I’ve heard their songs, even though I’m interested in seeing what Lenna might give us this time. “Rapunzel” is the only solo song from her that I’ve really liked so hoping for a new one of that at least, if not anything new.

    Good luck!

  4. Among the highlights every year. :)

  5. UMK final on January 28.10 acts competing-no semifinals.

  6. One of the best videos i’ve watched today on the American elections:

  7. RIP Leonard Cohen. 😭 😭 😭

  8. Apostolos Psychramis, backing vocalist for Greece 2004, is rumoured for Kiev.

  9. FYI for Diana Navarro fans here I’m guessing her protegé Blas Cantó will end up as a name for Spain ESC in 2017 as in previous years from that show, and despite her presence there, she won’t commit to ESC, such a shame, at least her great song was sung very well, we love u Diana!! :-)

  10. I don’t think it’s been mentioned here but EBU has published the regulations for esc 2017 and there’s something interesting since the 50-50 jury-televoting rule is replaced by this:”The points of the National Juries and of the National Audiences shall be combined according to a ratio which is determined by the EBU, subject to the Reference Group approval. For example, if the ratio is 50-50, the points of the National Jury carry the same weight as the points of the National Audiences.”
And while the method of presenting the results isn’t changed atm they now say that it’s a matter of discussion for the reference group and the respective host broadcaster: “The exact way of presenting the results during the Shows and/or calculating the points shall be decided in common agreement between the Host Broadcaster and the EBU Permanent Services and subject to the approval the Reference Group”.
Furthermore, the word “active” for the participating broadcasters has been removed: “The Eurovision Song Contest (the “ESC”) is an international coproduction by broadcasting organizations having status of Members of the EBU, as defined under the EBU Statutes”… “A maximum of 46 Members shall be allowed to participate”…, according to EBU Statute participation in it is divided in: “Members” and “Associates”. Thus, under “Members” are meant full members of the EBU (formerly called “Active members”). There is no mention of the Australia’s case in the rules or ability for other associate members to enter.

    • I don’t think that it is a good idea to change the format every year. Rituals like ESC need crucial elements to remain stable over longer periods of time.

  11. Krista Siegfrids will represent the UMK final again. Also,i posted another message earlier and it’s awaiting moderation

  12. Off-topic: I know there are some big fans of Loïc Nottet on here ;)
Loïc has released his new song/video “Million Eyes”

    Enjoy!

  13. The winner hosts of the 00’s:

  14. Offtopic: NRJ Music Awards last weekend, Amir won Best Male artist and “J’ai cherché” won Best Song! :o

  15. Estonian producer Ago Teppand revealed that this year’s Eesti Laul is very strong and that Stig’s song is really good?Could he do a hat-trick?
