You can read more about Verka Serduchka on her Wikipedia page. Andriy Mykhailovych Danylko is a famous drag from Ukraine, known under her persona Verka Serduchka. The act came to internal fame in 2007 when it was picked to represent Ukraine in the Eurovision Song Contest. The song, “Dancing Lasha Tumbai” was performed in four languages but made big controversy as the invented words “lasha tumbai” was heard as “Russia goodbye”, only two years after the Orange Revolution in Ukraine. It was the runner-up behind Serbia that year, the second best result of the country at the time. Ukraine would get second the following year as well, and win the contest for the second time in 2016, as Verka took the role of spokesperson. The fame is real, as the song and act were featured in American satirical comedy Spy in a scene where Verka is performing outdoors in Paris. Nominated ten times overall ET Awards 2016, “Best Spokeperson” is its fourth so far! Congratulations!
