  1. Such fucking sex appeal, mmh… to be fair, Justs is way more my type, and also the way he was dressed was way more for my likings, but I have always been a HUGE fan of Douwe’s tattoo and it was HOT and I’m glad it didnt take points away from him.

  2. So Belgium is followed by neighbour Netherlands in this award. Also, while the Netherlands are the most nominated and prized country in Fridas’ history, they never had a nomination in this category so this is their first award!

  3. I can’t complain, because I voted for the Netherlands; all the nominees would have been worthy winners, imo, though. Congrats!

  4. also the style awards went to Austria and Netherlands, the two power countries of the West of late, and the top 2 of esc 2014 and of Fridas 2014!

  5. Good choice. Personally, I’d have prefered Amir though.

  6. Well deserved! such a flawless suit with a really nice colour!

  7. Mehh…It was good enough but Amir’s was better and complimented his body figure pefectly.

  8. Off Topic: I have created this spreadsheets thats gonna be called (for now) ET-ESC 2016 haha😄 This is supposed to be a fun thing to see how we as a jury would have given our points this Eurovision song contest! All of the countries who performed are present, even the ones who failed to get to the final!
This will just be an experiment at first to see how many of you guys are interested in this (imo awesome) idea! Now almost all of you guys and me included have a top ten of this season so I thaught why not use it for something exciting😉

If you’re interested in this please give your points as a reply to this comment or send an email with your points and avatar name/alias to schultze94@gmail.com.

Update: 18 of you guys have voted (^.^ ^-^ ^.^) and this is the top ten so far:

    Ukraine: 170
    Latvia: 109
    Georgia: 74
    Armenia: 65
    Bulgaria: 57
    Italy: 55 (11 voters)
    France: 55 (10 voters)
    Estonia: 47
    The Netherlands: 45
    Hungary: 39

Ukraine gaining an impressive lead now while Latvia still has a reassuring second placement! We welcome Estonia into the top 10 and also congratulate Bosnia & Herzegovina, Belarus, greece and Poland for receiving its first points almost all thanks to Tehoe!

Spread the word and may the best ET-ESC 2016 song win! :D

  9. Good winner, congrats!

  10. I voted for both winners in male/female style.
    Congrats Austria and Netherlands!

  11. A bit too conventional for my taste. I wanted Georgia…

    • Wonder if I was the only one to vote for Georgia here…

      • I thought Georgia looked a bit ‘generic indie band’ to me. In the context of ESC they stood out both musically and visually, but in the context of indie bands they looked a bit anonymous. Especially the bassist, who looked like he’d been borrowed from an Oasis tribute band…

  12. Good result. I quite liked Justs’ and Amir’s casual look, but Douwe’s natty threads were sharp as.

  13. My top-5 male style for 2016:

    1. Hungary
    2. San Marino
    3. France
    4. Holland
    5. Lithuania

  14. Don’t know if it has been mentioned here, but R.I.P. Rikki Sorsa (FIN 1981).

  15. Off topic: Good luck to France and Romania tonight.

  16. Adele praising “1944”!

  17. Offtopic, Jüri and Mick sharing the stage:

  18. Amir singing “j’ai cherche” during the EURO 2016 opening show:

    • He doesn’t sound as well as he did in Eurovision, but he looks much more relaxed and at ease with himself. There was too much nervousness, some bad eye-contact with the camera and too few close-ups in his ESC performance. 9th place in the televote was mainly due to the song, it would have been much higher if the performance was 100% spot-on.

  19. Jamala’s album “1944” was released today across Europe. This is a great review from a UK music site: http://www.music-news.com/review/UK/11896/Read
