Eurovision 2016 – Yesterday saw several of this year’s acts perform at the Eurovillage in advance of semi-final 1. Dami Im drew lots of support from enthusiastic Australian fans and wowed with her fantastic live vocals and piano playing. She had to cut her set short however as she was worried her voice was beginning to be strained. She dedicated an acoustic ‘Sound of Silence‘ to everyone as daggy as her.
Ivan from Belarus sang three songs and showcased his impressive vocals too.
Georgia’s Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz were up next and performed 4 of their songs, and were happy to meet people after the show.
Whilst Georgia were on stage, the UK’s representatives Joe and Jake turned up in a London cab and were immediately mobbed by well wishers wanting photographs. The guys took selfies with fans.
and then performed two songs on stage with their backing singers “You’re not alone‘, and a cover of ‘Uptown funk‘ by Bruno Mars/Mark Ronson. They finished the visit off with a radio interview.
Today at the Eurovillage from 17.30 you can see Dalal & Deen feat. Ana Rucner and Jala from Bosnia & Herzegovina, Greta Salóme from Iceland, Barei from Spain and Roberto Bellarosa (Belgium 2013)
