TEKO 2016: Results of Heat 10!

TEKO 2016 smTHE Eurovision Knockout 2016 – The votes have been counted in Heat 10!  We have a winner in this heat which saw Australia, Estonia and the Czech Republic go head to head. It was stupidly close with only 2 votes in it! Will the second act through to round 2?

Results of Heat 10:

Australia 35%
Estonia 36%
Czech Republic 29%

So it’s Estonia’s Jüri Pootsmann singing ‘Play’ through to the duels, but will Dami from Australia make it through to the second chance round with the high score of 35%?

  1. Yeah!Estonia won but it was the closest heat to date which is understandable.I like all 3 songs.

  2. Yeah!!!!!
Now both Australia and Czech R can stand silent AT LAST!

  4. That was close. Great result. Australia is dull.

  5. Good stuff beat plastic stuff! There is a God! The Czech Republic did well too. :)

P.S. – if Gabriela nails it live, I’ll be curious to see how far she manages to go in May.

  6. Yeeeeeessssss!!!!

  7. Also I believe we have been witnessing the most “common sensed” TEKO results since EVER?!
No flag bias either, which seems strange taken into consideration previous editions…

  8. I liked all three, and the best won.

  9. This was one of the strongest heats, with 3 top notch songs competing so any winner would be great. Congrats to Estonia and Australia (which will be advancign most likely with that score) !

  10. This is how I read this result: if the Czech republic weren’t actually… the Czech republic, it would have probably won this heat hands down.

  11. And btw, the more I listen to the Estonian song the more overrated it sounds to me. Plus, Juri is a big turn off.

  12. I’m glad the results are so close in this heat, I like all of them!

  13. Tough heat indeed, I voted Estonia as well, glad it won. :)

  14. Pleasantly surprised to see Estonia take it, and not that surprised that it was close.

  15. Current ranking of the second placers, after 10 heats:

    Cyprus 41
    Iceland 37

    Australia 35
    Malta 35
    Norway 35
    United Kingdom 35

    Armenia 30
    Hungary 30
    Finland 21
    Lithuania 12

With 4 heats remaining, Cyprus and Iceland should qualify for the “second chance” round, while it’ll be interesting to see how that 4-way tie among Australia, Malta, Norway, and the United Kingdom would be broken… unless all remaining four “second placers” have a bigger OR smaller percentage (meaning ALL have a bigger or ALL have a smaller percentage) than that group of 4.

This also means that Armenia, Hungary, Finland, and Lithuania are eliminated.
