TEKO 2016 smTHE Eurovision Knockout 2016 – The votes have been counted in Heat 6!  We have a winner in this heat which saw  Malta, Spain and Romania go head to head. This was a heat between only 2 acts, so will a second act through to round 2? Check out the result now.

Results of Heat 6:

Malta 35%
Spain 54%

So it’s Spain’s Barei singing ‘Say yay!’ who wins this heat, but will Malta get a second chance with those percentage scores?

  1. No surprise here either.

  2. Good!It wasn’t a very strong heat but Spain deserved to win and Romania to come dead last.

  3. About what I expected here. I thought Malta would do a little worse actually. Good result though !

  4. I’m glad to see Spain doing so well in almost every esc-related poll this year. On the other hand, it will leave me a bittersweet taste seeing my beloved Spain doing well in eurovision with a song in English…

    • I understand your dilemma completely, but even Spain went with 100% English in the end and it caused a polemic here, also because Barei is an heiress to one of the top 10 richest families in Spain (her family owns around 25% of Madrid apparently!), so now Spanish anti Barei from other Spanish TV channels, is that she bought her success in ESC, paid for all the travel/videos, daddy will pay etc, typical Spanish stuff!

  5. No surprise here indeed. Well deserved winning. :)

  6. Obvious and well deserved winner. :)

  7. Yay!
    A well deserved winner!

  8. Good results!
