Lithuania – Tonight sees the climax of 10 long weeks of their national selection process in Lithuania. We’re down to the final 6 contestants. You can watch Eurovizija 2016 live from Vilnius on Eurovision.tv from 20.00 (CET) this evening. The show will run until 22.10 (CET).

Donny, Erica, Aistė and Rūta have proven to be the front runners having topped the jury and public vote at least once
The Eurovision Times’ readers have been voting for their favourite and it’s a resounding win for Donny Montell with 49.18% of the vote. Will he make his second appearance for Lithuania? He finished in 14th place in Baku in 2012 with ‘Love is blind‘, the country’s highest finish in the last 9 years.

2001, 2005, 2006, 2010 are my least favourite Lithuanian entries.
Overall with an average of 5.25, Lithuania occupies my #40 on my list of esc countries :(
The favourite to win is by far better than Russia 2016 😈
My favorite Lithuanian entries have been 1999, 2007, and 2015. However, I’ve liked most of their entries from 2009-2014 as well, so Lithuania is one of the countries I’ve tended to enjoy at Eurovision in recent years, 2013 excepted.
Should Aiste or Donny win tonight, the trend of me tending to like the Lithuanian entries will continue.

I find it so funny that they have this whole saga of a selection just to show the final the same night as Melodifestivalen which is the most popular final of the Selection Series
I have no interest in Sweden in ESC so won’t be watching Melodifestivalen but i’ll most likely be one of few to watch Lithuania instead

Genuinely annoyed this clashes with Melfest. Melfest is such a big show, and I love it (although this year is weak) but after following this for 10 weeks I’m quite invested in it and really want Donny to win so want to watch it properly! 2 windows next to each other it is then, and me and Jade here with the popcorn.

There’s a lot of fake tan for Ruslanas. Lovely to see Vaidas on the panel.
There’s 9 people on the panel and they’re talking to them all after the act. Melfest could be over by the time we’ve heard 2 acts in Lithuania..
Finally onto Ieva. I don’t like her voice at all, sounds like it’s bordering on flat in places. Song goes nowhere. Staging a bit dull, she doesn’t really have a lot of presence
