eurovision sweden 2016Just like last year, we will witness Super Saturdays with many shows happening all at once. Instead of opening all threads, hard to follow for everyone, we decided to have just one thread for all shows to follow live so we can all discuss them together. Tonight, we get five more esc songs! Let’s have fun!

ADal 2016Hungary – Tonight A Dal finally concludes with the grand final. Last weeks we had three quarter-finals and two semi-finals to break down the 30 selected songs into only 8 finalists. 1. Good news for Ukraine. I believe Sweden will award Norway 12pts. They like copycats. Don’t they. This one has the honor to be double! Shame on Norway. Cheap!

  2. On the positive side, at least it’s not the boy band or the fake reggae!

  3. I hope they get rid of that ridiculous dancer in that glass, ruins it for me visually.

  4. This MGP soundtrack mixing different Norwegian enties is actually very nice!

  5. Oh sh*t, sh*t, sh*t, sh*t….

  6. Like Dino said Ukraine did one more stepp eowards victory!! Now I wait for march 2 :)

  7. Nothing beats the ”holy three” atm; Ukraine, Italy and Cyprus. The it is Germany and Hungary who might grow on me. The rest are at least listenable, bad or very bad.

  8. This year is shaping up as a disaster for me especially when it comes to Nordic countries. Out of the four that have already chosen their entry I don’t like any in particular. I hope Sweden compensates. Norway in particular would be in my top 3 most probably for 3 years in a row (with Afterglow). Can afford losing Seis in Estonia now.

  9. Helloings, guys!

Norwegian results make sense. I’ve guessed already from the start that Agnete would win and Freddy would make it to the superfinal. :p

The same goes for the Hungarian results. And the Swedish. The Finnish on the other hand…

Well, I gotta check all those entries in a while, plus Slovenia and Moldova too. Phew…

  10. Please tell me that that tower used in the Norwegian song was part of the MGP stage and not specific for this (horrible) song.

  11. As I said before: “Afterglow” was the best song by a mile. This one is a likeable and melodifestivalenized “I Feed You My Love” wannabe performed by a fine vocalist. It is among the better songs chosen so far … but still … what a wasted chance to send another masterpiece …

  12. And then, when you think you have seen all, Slovenia comes with a dress change. Even the singer was so shocked by that that she complete lost the will to sing in tune.

  13. Well, Norway would never have been able to send a 4th great entry in a row anyhow, since “A monster like me” was good at best.

I think Laila still had my favourite song this year. I liked the show with the lasers, but that shirtless dancer was unnecessary (as dancers are in 95% of all cases).

And Laika, lol. Would have been a great troll entry in the same league as Montenegro 2012 and Poland 2014. Loved that performance.
