Tonight: Third Super Saturday!


eurovision sweden 2016Just like last year, we will witness Super Saturdays with many shows happening all at once. Instead of opening all threads, hard to follow for everyone, we decided to have just one thread for all shows to follow live so we can all discuss them together. Let’s have fun!

ADal 2016Hungary – Tonight A Dal continues with the second semi final out of two. Last week four out of nine acts made it through to the final. Tonight, the last 9 songs that made it out of the heats will participate and 4 will qualify. It will be hosted by Csilla Tatár and Levente Harsányi.

This is tonight’s line-up (not the actual draw):

A jury vote vote on the entries of the night and their top 3 qualifies. Then televote alone will decide which among the last 6 gets picked up for the Final. The jury members are Pierrot, Zséda, Károly Freinreisz and Miklós Both. The show will start tonight at 19:40 (CET) and can be watched here.


Melodifestivalen 2016Sweden – SVT resumes Melodifestivalen 2016 with the third semifinal: Norrköping’s. You can click on here to go read what we wrote on tonight’s line-up and on here to watch some snippets. The show will be hosted by Gina Dirawi and Henrik Schyffert.

Tonight’s draw is as follows:

The night’s theme will be “under pressure” and both hosts will perform the interval acts. 100% televote will decide 2 songs to go through to the final and 2 songs to second chance. The show starts at 20:00 (CET) and can be watched here.


logoEstonia – ERT, the Estonian broadcaster, will resume tonight Eesti Laul 2016, the national final for Eurovision 2016. There will be 10 out of 20 overall entries participating tonight and only 5 will make it to the final with 50% televote and jury. The show will be hosted by Henry Kõrvits and Maris Kõrvits.

Tonight’s line -up is as follows:

There are two different sets tonight: a live portion of the show will take place in a  Tallinn studio with artists discussing with hosts and the performances have already been recorded and will be shown throughout. The show starts at 20:35 (CET) and can be watched here.


iceland logoIceland – RUV, the Icelandic broadcaster, will conclude tonight Söngvakeppnin 2016, the national final for Eurovision 2016. There will be 6 entries participating tonight and 2 will make it to the superfinal with juries and televote at 50% each, with 100% televote deciding the ultimate winner. The show will be hosted by Ragnhildur Steinunn Jónsdóttir and Guðrún Dís Emilsdóttir.

Tonight’s line -up is as follows:

All songs are available here. The interval acts will feature performances by Sandra Kim who won Eurovision in 1986, the first year Iceland took part in the contest, and Loreen, the 2012 winner. There will also be a snippet of all Icelandic esc entries in history. The show starts at 21:00 (CET) and can be watched here.


UMK 2015 smallFinland – Finnish broadcaster, YLE, will resume tonight Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2016, its national final for Eurovision. 6 out of 18 overall songs are taking part tonight and 3 will make it through with 100% televote decision.  Tonight’s show will be hosted by Roope Salminen alongside Krista Siegfrids

This is tonight’s line-up:

The money gathered with televote will be donated to charity Nenäpäivä-säätiö, which fund projects in developing countries. The show starts at 20:00 (CET) and can be watched here.


lithuaniaLithuania – This is week 7 of the impossible to follow Lithuanian national final. So based on what we gathered online, we have 8 more songs competing tonight with only 5 making it through. Tonight’s show is hosted by Andrius Rožickas and Gerūta Griniūtė.

This is tonight’s line-up:

  1. Aistė Pilvelytė – You bet
  2. Ruslanas Kirilkinas – In my world
  3. Ieva Zasimauskaitė – Life (Not that beautiful)
  4. 4 Roses – Butterfly
  5. Saulenė Chlevickaitė – Strong

  7. Neringa Šiaudikytė – Never know love
  8. E.G.O. – Long way from home

The public, an international jury and national jury all scored the songs and each score will be added up. The jury members are Darius Užkuraitis, Nomeda Kazlaus, Ramūnas Zilnys and Valdas Burnys. The show was pre-recorded during the week but will be shown on LRT tonight at 20:00 (CET) and can be watched here.
