Junior Eurovision: Opening Ceremony Postponed

junior eurovision 2015 smallJunior Eurovision – Tomorrow’s planned opening ceremony of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest has been postponed in response to the terrorist attacks in France. Bulgaria has announced a period of national mourning to show solidarity with France. BNT is required not to broadcast any entertainment shows across its network during any national period of mourning.

The General Director of BNT, Viara Ankova said:

“The Bulgarian national television expresses its deep condolences and support in this hard moment for the people of France. Love and tolerance between people are the values the Eurovision Song Contest is based on. These are also the values which unite all public broadcasters in Europe.”

The running order will still be drawn tomorrow by participants. Media will, however, not be able to attend, and the running order will be published on junioreurovision.tv.
