  1. Five Fridas for Belgoum. The Common Linnets got 7 last year, and they got “Best Top 5 Entry” and “Best Entry”: if Belgium wins both, they’ll tie the record of 7 Fridas… so, will they?

    • Is it possible for Belgium to overtake Netherlands, or are those the only 2 awards left?

      • Belgium is neither nominated in “most overrated” nor “most underrated” so it can only win 2 more. It won 5 out of 8 so far, and with these two wins would get 7 out of 10, so the exact same result than Common Linnets (however it already lost male vocals to Italy, backdrop to France and video to Norway).

        • Damn, so my voting for Russia in Most Overrated will actually see them go up 1 in the rankings if they win?

I understand losing the vocal award to Italy, like yeah Male Opera takes vocal power, but Loic’s mechanical bleeding heart vid, and the hunky football player were much better than Norways :/

Maybe we could do a tie break between Belgium 15 and Netherlands 14 based on 2nd places??? Unless Netherlands 14 would win the tie break in which case forget I mentioned it! ;)

          • Why need a tie break? They both got 7 awards in their respective year (plus, without revealing too much, I think they have the same results for the 3 “lost” awards)

            • To say Loic was the biggest Frida winner ever!!! :D

In the main contest everyone wants to win, but big winners like Loreen or Mans, probably wish they could have beaten Rybak’s record.

            • Well, they’ll be tied for now, and we’ll see in the future if anyone can do better than 7! If you’re that eager to count, you can check the % at the end of Fridas this year and check with the ones in 2014 to see between the two. I think that on that regard Nl 2014 might be more popular, but I’m not sure. Anyway, Loic hasnt won the last two fridas yet :o

  2. And from being pleasantly surprised over on the National Final page, I’m pleasantly not surprised over here.

Belgium was a really big grower for me, I think it came 5th in my overall rankings. The rest were all national selections so I agree with this award wholeheartedly.

    I hope Australia came close.

  3. Obvious choice although Australia, Azerbaijan and Montenegro were good too.

  4. Voted for Guy!

  5. That was the most obvious one out of all fridas imo. Czech Republic also made a good choice.

    Congrats Loic !

  6. In the end, Belgium had the best package. I slightly liked Azerbaijan better in studio version, but they ruined it completely live. While Belgium on the other hand lifted live. Congrats!

  7. Congratulations.

  8. The only factor that should really decide who had the best internal is by seeing which internally selected song got the best result, so therefore the with winner should have been Polina, coming 2nd and getting the highest score ever for a non-eurovision winner. Still congrats Loic

  9. Voted Montenegro but I fully support Belgium’s win.

  10. I voted for Australia but am happy for Belgium. Azerbaijan’s inclusion is beyond me, Elnur has the most grating, annoying vocal and his song and performance this year was truly awful imo.

  11. Anyone but Elnur would’ve made a great winner. His song was ok but he was too shouty for me. Congratulations to Loic!
