Belgium – Today was the second rehearsal of the Belgian Entry “Rhythm Inside” and we went to take a gander at one of our favourite acts of the year. You voted that Loïc Nottet had the best first rehearsal on Day 1 of the rehearsals but did today improve on that?
We found out that the Postcard for Belgium will have Loïc choreographing a dance with Austrian locals which should be a memorable one. He thought the rehearsals went great and confirmed that he had added new moves to the performance. This was in the form of a close up of Loïc doing some hand movements during a “rapbapbap” moment.
BJ Scott was mentioned who mentored him on The Voice where Loïc said she had taught him diction and pronunciation when singing and how to breath properly between lyrics. He also said that he will base his career on singing in English because he loves the language.
Asked again about his influences he said Sia, London Grammar and Florence and the Machine were the artists he looked up to.
He was also asked that common question about whether or not his age was an hindrance to which he replied “It’s not about age but passion” to applause in the press centre. He isn’t nervous yet but excited and sees Eurovision as one big concert rather than a competition
