Results: Who Will Qualify from Semi Final Two?

vienna eurovision 2015Poll: Yesterday we asked you who you thought would qualify from the second semi final on Thursday May 21st and the response has been great. 127 people completed this poll and the results are in so read on to see what you think. There is another far out winner.

The results were achieved by adding all the points together in batches. All the 12pts, all the 10pts and so on. E.g. 66 poll takers thought Sweden would receive full marks so 66×12=792.

Then I added all the points that each country received together and then sorted them in order. The table is below…

SF2 Poll

Sweden is your favourite to win Semi Final Two with Slovenia and Norway in 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Azerbaijan and Israel complete your Top 5.

You think San Marino will finish last and also that Ireland, Poland, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Portugal will fail to make the grand final.

What do you think of the results? Do you think this is indicative of how it will in just over five weeks time? Comment below…

  1. I think that the Golden Boy will be back home on Friday. We are not in the noughties anymore.

    • Didn’t you say that about Solayoh!?

      • That was Belarus, which is part of a voting block. Poor Israel doesn’t have friends, just like Portugal. Do you remember Suzy?

        • Indeed I remember how close she was to qualifying, just 1 point behind San Marino who no doubt had a boost thanks to the fact people liked her and it was her 3rd try and were desperate to see her in the final.

I’m not saying Golden Boy will be challenging for the crown, but it’s the best song they’ve sent in ages, with a genre that is still immensely popular among a large group of esc fans so I think they will qualify and if not, like Suzy they will be incredibly close.

  2. I will say one thing with 99% certainty! Ireland is in!
Israel won’t qualify imo. Chorus is very cheap!

  3. Israel may only just qualify because the song is good but it being Israel will set it back.

  4. I think that Israel and Malta are in the danger zone while Ireland,Cyprus and probably Poland can do it.

  5. Sounds possible. But don’t underestimate Ireland yet, they’re definitely in with a chance. And Israel, nah, I doubt they’ll make it. “Golden boy” feels like this year’s “Quero ser tua”, catchy happy stuff the TV audience might vote for, but the jurors will find it tacky and just bad, and thus sink it.

  6. Switch Israel with Poland and this is accurate :)

  7. Ugh, Slovenia… At least Norway and Israel was voted well.

  8. Updated ranking

    10/12: Estonia, Austria
    9/12: Slovenia, Latvia, Belgium
8/12: France, Georgia, Denmark, Ireland, Hungary, Germany, Norway, Sweden
7/12: Italy, Lithuania, Cyprus, Australia, Romania
6/12: Switzerland, Malta, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Montenegro, FYR Macedonia, Iceland, Albania
5/12: Czech Republic, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom, Belarus, Russia, Finland, Greece
    4/12: San Marino, Serbia
    3/12: Moldova, Poland
    2/12: Israel

  9. The promo video for Eurovision in concert:

  10. I think Israel will qualify (I hope)-mainly for being so different this year. I would love to see Ireland in there, but I think it will just miss out. But I am almost certain Cyprus will do well enough to qualify, and Poland might sneak in. So I think Malta and over-hyped Lithuania might be left behind, even though I don’t dislike either.

  11. Off-topic: R.I.P. Günter Grass.

  12. I am still running the ET jury ranking for semi finals. Marko from Serbia has just voted.
Still waiting for Alex (NYC), Morgan, Patrick and Nick to close the procedure as there could be no ET voting without all 4 mentioned above!
