UPDATE: Amaury Vassili’s “Sonnui” to Be Revealed in France

France – According to the website Eurovision-fr the French entry “Sonnui” by Amaury Vassili will be presented on the radio station “France Bleu“. Unfortunately, the exact time when the song will be broadcast is not known yet. It had previously been revealed that the young tenor will sing a song entitled “Sonniu” which is Corsican for “Dream”. “Sonniu” was composed by Daniel Moyne and Quentin Bachelet and written by Jean-Pierre Marcellesi. The song is a Bolero that goes crescendo and is said to perfectly suit the voice of Vassili. Even tough a French version exists, the song will be performed in the Italian dialect spoken on Corsica. The song was recorded a few weeks ago and is not part of Amaury’s latest album.

UPDATE: The song will not be revealed today, but in 2 weeks. Apparently there was a misunderstanding. The video clip for the song will be shot this Friday in Corsica!

As part of the Big5 France is directly qualified for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest on May 14. In our own pre-Eurovision competition “The Eurovision Knockout 2011” France will compete against Portugal and Cyprus!
