Eurovision recap (14)

This time with news from Romania, Belarus, Armenia and Switzerland

Romania – The Romanian national broadcaster has announced November 15, 2010 to be the date they will reveal the complete line-up of the Romanian national final, to be held on New Year’s Eve! A week ago they had already announced that the hosts would be this year’s participants for Romania Ovi and Paula Selig.

Switzerland – The last week where it will be possible to enter songs into the Swiss open online competition has just started. Seven acts will qualify for the national final from the platform of Swiss television SF and three from the radio station DRS’s platform. Till now over 260 entries have been entered on both platforms, more than 50% come from non-Swiss artists.

Armenia – Aleksan Harutyunyan, the head of the Armenian television council has revealed today in a press conference, that the Armenian participant in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 will be chosen internally. The Council of Arts of Armenian national television will select an artist and a proper song for that artist.

Belarus – Dimitry Koldun, Belarussian participant in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007, has recently released his new UNICEF single “Day without war”. He will perform this song at this year’s Junior ESC in Minsk with all the participants. UNICEF is an official partner of the Junior ESC. You can listen to the song here
