Good article – but I shall stand by my opinion of a few years that Azerbaijan should be disqualified for what seems to be blatant human rights abuse directly linked with the contest and the evidence that is coming out this year seems to be suggesting more issues. I have nothing against the Azeri people but the country is bringing the contest to shame and it is about bloody time we stood up and said no!

Hats off! Most of the comments and the analysis itself is 100% spot on, imho.

Glad to see that we share 7/10 songs in our top10; two of them in particular in our top5 (Israel and Albania).
Our biggest disagreements: Montenegro, Portugal, the F.Y.R. of Macedonia and Lithuania.

Benny- Germany,Sweden and Finalnd are the radio songs-along with Malta-but that song has already been in the charts with Train

I think Scotty was saying-Malta´s song is a total rip off Train´s song..My friends 15 yr old daughter pointed that out to me-if she can spot that-whay didnt the judges-oh yeah-they are mainly geriatric and deaf .)

About Pernilla´s song for Finland in Swedish at no.9 on this story.

I was a big fan of this song.I speak a bit of swedish and I thought it was very good.I feel they made a mistake as they had a girl dancing very artistically in the finnish national final-she was dropped from the Eurovision semi-I feel it added a lot to the performance-also Sweden and Norway were not in Finlands semi-final.I think if those countries has been voting she would have got through to the final-I seem to remember it was quite close.Here is the finnish final performance.
