spainSpain – This year’s Spanish representatives, El Sueno de Morfeo, yesterday performed at the Iris Awards in Madrid, Spain. Watch them play their Eurovision song ‘Contigo el hasta final‘ at this prestigious awards gala here. Spain will perform in this year’s Eurovision final on 18th May.

Spain – Last night the Spanish public and a jury which included Italy’s Marco Mengoni decided that “Contigo Hasta El Final” will be the song that El Sueño De Morfeo will perform at the contest this May in Malmo. El Sueño De Morfeo were internally selected by TVE back in December and the group wrote 5 songs to enter with. (more…)

spainSpain – In a surprise announcement, the Spanish broadcaster TVE, has decided that the recently chosen 2013 Italian representative, Marco Mengoni, will be on the jury panel of El Sueño De Morfeo- Destino Eurovision which is the 2013 Spanish Eurovision Song Selection show . spainSpain – The Spaniards have been voting all week for three songs written by this year’s representative, El Sueño de Morfeo. Today it was announced by RTVE that “Atrévete” was most popular with 69.9% of the vote. It will join the songs “Contigo hasta el final” and “Dame tu voz” in the final on 26th of February.  Listen to the songs here and then vote in our poll for your favourite… (more…)

Spain: Songs Premiered!

spainSpain – The 4 songs that have been written by El Sueño de Morfeo, the 2013 Spanish representatives in Malmo, have been made available online on the TVE official website. The Spanish public now have a week to vote between two songs, ‘Revolucion’ and ‘Atrevete’. The winning song from this public vote will join two other songs already chosen by TVE… ‘Contigo hasta el final’ and ‘Dame tu voz’, making three songs in the final. (more…)

Spain: Songs Presented Tomorrow

spainSpain – Broadcaster RTVE will tomorrow present the 4 songs that are in the running for Malmö 2013. The 4 songs are by Spanish band El Sueño de Morfeo, and will be revealed online on RTVE.es. As per last year, 2 of the songs have already been internally selected. The public will then be able to vote online for their favourite of the other 2 songs, with one vote each. This winning song will be the 3rd song in the TV final on 26th February. (more…)

spainSpain – If Twitter trends and Internet rumours are to be believed, El sueño de Morfeo will be announced as Spain’s representatives for Malmö at around 20.00(CET) tonight. TVE will name the act who will represent them at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest tonight during the  +Gente TV programme. The lead singer of the pop-rock band, Raquel del Rosario, did nothing to dispel the rumours yesterday, tweeting that it would be best not to say anything yet. (more…)

SpainSpain - After having confirmed participation for 2013 even with the drastic budget cuts, the 2012 contest brought a wave of interest thanks to Pastora Soler’s participation and result (a reasonable 10th) that pushed Spanish broadcaster TVE to not only participate in Malmö but keep the selection format for 2013! Spain: Confirmed for 2013

spainSpainTVE today confirmed Spain’s participation in next year’s Eurovision Song Contest. One of the Big Five, Spain also announced that they would be revealing their representative in the next few days in an internal selection process which is expected to be the same format as last year. Pastora Soler finished 10th in last year’s competition for Spain.

  Spain – Pastora Soler has released her English version of “Quédate Conmigo”. The Spanish singer seems extremely excited by her new release, saying “‘Quédate Conmigo’ has had a lot of attention in Europe thanks to the Eurovision…  I thought it was important to realease the song in English so that more people would understand the sentiment” (more…)

New Versions of Azerbaijan, Bulgaria and Spain 2012

  Eurovision 2012 – In the last couple of days three ladies have released new versions of their 2012 Eurovision entries. Sabina Babayeva from Azerbaijan recorded a jazz version of “When the Music Dies”. After a version in Azerbaijani and an ethnic version, this is the third new arrangement for the song.   Spain – The Spanish representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, Pastora Soler, gave another impeccable performance of her Eurovision entry “Quédate conmigo” on Spanish channel Antenna 3. Pastora Soler’s Triumphant Return

  Spain – Tenth-placed at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Baku, Pastora Soler got a true winner’s reception in her home town Coria del Río. Over 600 people greeted her with applaus and praise and moved Pastora to tears. She performed the chorus of her entry to an enthusiastic crowd.   Spain – The Spanish representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, Pastora Soler, achieved the best result for her country in years when she came 10th last Saturday. At a press conference in Madrid she said: “I would do Eurovision again” and called the competition in Baku a “unique, moving and wonderful experience.” She added that she wouldn’t come back next year as the last six months have been quite demanding for her. Spain: Pastora Soler Asked Not To Win

  Spain – The economic, financial and dept crisis has hit Europe hard. Especially southern Euro -nations have to suffer under high unemployment and financial problems. The Spanish candidate for Eurovision, Pastora Soler, now told state television on Thursday that she has been advised “not to win” the final on Saturday due to the economic crisis. If the singer won the contest, Spain would indeed be obliged to organize the next edition: an unimaginable expense for the country. (more…)

Eurovision 2012 – Good morning from sunny Baku! It’s semifinal 1 day but acts that are not involved are busy doing other things in the beautiful city of Baku. The Eurovillage is hosting lots of musical events, and there are DJs and live acts keeping the party going there on the promenade each day until late. Most of the Big 5 will  perform there tomorrow! Spain – Spanish Eurovision fans have reacted with anger and disappointment upon learning that national broadcaster TVE has decided to only show the first semi-final and final on TV this year. Spain can only vote in the first semi-final. José María Íñigo will be the commentator, while Elena S. Sánchez will announce the Spanish points in the final. Germany however have confirmed they will show both semi-finals and final.

Spain – The Spanish public this evening chose ‘Quédate conmigo’ as the song that Pastora Soler will sing in the Eurovision Final on 26th May 2012. The public had to choose between 3 songs;  ”Ahora o nunca“, “Tu vida es tu vida” and “Quédate conmigo“. Televoting lines had been open since 22th February to choose between the three songs which could be listened to online. (more…)

Spain -  The four songs which Spain must decide between are now online via TVE and  Pastora Soler’s YouTube. Despite previous comments that they would range from mid tempo to ballads, the majority seem to be ballads. Two songs have already been chosen for the national final. Spain: RTVE Reveals Pastora Soler Songs Today

Spain – Spanish broadcaster RTVE will today reveal the songs that are in the running to be Spain’s choice for Eurovision 2012.Two songs have already been chosen for Pastora Soler to sing. Two more songs will also be revealed, and one of those two will become the third entry. Apparently there are both up tempo songs and ballads.

Spain: National Final on 3rd March

  Spain – RTVE, the Spanish official broadcaster, announced that the national final will take place on 3rd March. Pastora Soler, the Spanish representative in Eurovision 2012, will present three songs. She will choose two, that might be new songs or might be in her new album, Una Mujer Como Yo, and the third song will be chosen by the public on RTVE’s website. Spain – It was revealed today on Spanish TV that the National Final looks set to take place on Monday 20th February. Pastora Soler has already been selected as Spain’s representative in Baku. Soler will perform three songs in different styles in a televised show to be broadcast in February.   Spain – Today the Spanish national broadcaster TVE held a press conference to present the internally selected Spanish Eurovision participant Pastora Soler to the public. Soler will perform three songs in different styles in a televised show to be broadcast in February. Spain – Fans of Spain can cheer! After earlier reports of the country possibly dropping out of the contest due to the financial crisis in the country, TVE  has announced early this morning they’d reveal their candidate for Baku at 12 CET.
