Eurovision Song Contest 2013 – Swedish broadcaster SVT has published some of the first ‘postcards’ of this year that artists have been recently filming. Slovenia – The Slovenian national broadcaster RTVSLO has today announced that Hannah Mancini will represent the country in Malmö. In 2011 she took part in the Slovenian National Final with Sylvain and Mike Vale with the song Ti Si Tisti. This year’s song will be revealed on 14th February. (more…)
Slovenia: To Select Internally

Slovenia – Broadcaster RTVSLO announced today that they will choose their representative for Malmö by internal selection. It is suspected that financial issues may have played a part in this decision. It had already been rumoured that RTVSLO would not use their Misija Evrovizija format this year and may return to the old EMA format. Sadly this will now no longer happen.
Slovenia – According to eurosong.be, the Slovenian national broadcaster RTVSLO has decided not to continue the casting “Misija Evrovizija” in 2013. This year, Slovenian did not use the traditional national final “EMA” to select its Eurovision representative, but the new casting show, a copy of the German “Unser Star für..” series. Slovenia – Last night the national final of EMA was held in Slovenia. Eva Boto was chosen as the winner with the song “Verjamem”. The result was decided by a 50/50 jury and televote. Runners up were sisters Eva & Nika Prusnik the other act in the final. (more…)

Slovenia – Tonight the final of the casting show Misija Evrovizija was held in Slovenia. The show determined 2 acts that will compete in the national final for the Eurovision Song Contest, EMA. Fours singers competed for the two places in the final: The twins Eva & Nika Prusnik, Eva Boto and Nika Zorjan. Boto qualified directly to the final, while the Pusnik twins and Zorjan had to compete in a show down. In the end the twins prevailed. (more…)

The show which had dance songs as its motto was once again hosted by Maja Keuc (Slovenia 2011) and Klemen Slakonja and saw 5 participants competing for 4 places in the next heat. Eva Boto, Eva & Nika Prusnik and Manuela Brečko were selected by the judges. Hence, Flora Ema Lotrič and Nika Zorjan had to performed another song to win the public vote. Slovenia – Slovenia has made its choice: Maja Keuc will represent the Ex-Yugolav country in Düsseldorf next May. Ten songs were performed in the popular selection show EMA. A jury of experts then chose Maja Keuc “Vanilija” and April “Ladadidej” for the super final. The Slovenian public thus only had the choice between these two songs. The jury included Darja Svajger, Severina (CRO 2006) and Mojca Mavec. In the end Maja Keuc emerged as the winner of the selection. (more…)

Slovenia – Yesterday four more snippets of songs competing in the Slovenian national final “EMA 2011″ have been presented on television. This time the songs of “Maja Keuc”, “Felix Langus”, “Time to Time” and “Rock Partyzani feat. Rock Ferenga” were presented. The Slovenian national final will be held on February 27.
