United Kingdom – Strong rumours have surfaced today that the UK’s broadcaster, the BBC, has approached multi-million seller Mika to represent them at Eurovision this year. UK – Girls Aloud’s PR company was forced to issue a denial on twitter yesterday as rumours of them being asked to represent the United Kingdom in Malmö picked up pace. Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet has however reported that songwriter Fredrik Kempe has written the UK’s entry for Girls Aloud member, Kimberley Walsh, who will represent the UK as a solo singer. Armenia – Armeian website http://www.panorama.am today reported that Sirusho may be asked to represent Armenia again although it is understood that The head of Armenian delegation has not fully decided yet. Ireland – Irish broadcaster RTE will not be confirming acts and songs until 2 weeks before their national final, Eurosong on 22nd February 2013, but the rumour mill has gone into overdrive with possibly all 5 names leaked. Information coming out of RTE and EurovisionIreland hints that 4 of the 5 acts will be female singers. Surprisingly, one of the previous favourites, Leanne Moore is not named after all. (more…)

Rumor – Will the 2010 and 2008 Eurovision winners battle for the Eurovision crown in 2011? Lena Meyer-Landrut has been confirmed to be Germany’s Eurovision representative for quite some time.
