Former Participants – whilst some former Eurovision acts go on to greater things some others see their fortunes go in decidedly the opposite direction. In recent weeks we’ve seen former participants sadly not doing so well. Gossip – The twins of Jedward are trying to stay in the headlines. They recently celebrated their 650,000 follower on twitter by posting a picture showing them topless and apparently fresh out of the shower. Gossip – Eric Saade, Swedish representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011, continues to pursue his musical career. He just released a new single with Norwegian singer Tone Damli, who came second in the Norwegian national final in 2009. The two also recorded a video in Ibiza including every cliché of a summer video. The song is a contemporary radio song, but maybe a bit too bland. However, there is a reason to still watch the video! Sweden – The Swedish representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2004, Lena Philipsson has announced that she has divorced her husband businessman Per Holknekt, whom she only married in 2010. She said that her ex-husband Måns Herngren, the father of her two children, is supporting her through these hard times. Well, in any case, Lena has her microphone stand for lonely evenings. (more…)
