Eurovision Eurovision 2013 – The UK-based Digital-Spy website has today posted videos of Eurovision 2013 performances stripped to raw vocals. The raw vocal stream from this year’s show has been singled out in a new series of videos, which hears the backing track and backing vocals omitted. The raw vocals of stars such as Bonnie Tyler (UK), Cascada (Germany) and winner Emmelie de Forest (Denmark) can be heard.

romaniaRomania – According to exclusivnews.ro, the rankings of the Romanian jury for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest have been revealed. There is no information as yet about who the jury members were or official confirmation from TVR. GermanyGermany -  The national broadcaster of Germany, NDR, has just revealed the rankings of their jury for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. The jury included:  Lena, Tim Bendzko, Carolin Niemczyk, Florian Silbereisen and Alina Süggeler (Frida Gold). The rankings for both the final and the semi-final have been released. netherlandsThe Netherlands – Dutch national broadcaster TROS, has today published the votes of the 2013 Dutch jury.  The Dutch jury for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest  final consisted of Carlo Boszhard, Kim-Lian van der Meij, Nance, Jeroen Nieuwehuize and André de Raaff. In the final their favourite act was Margaret Berger of Norway, followed by Sweden’s Robin Stjernberg and Emmelie de Forrest of Denmark.  (more…)

Eurovision Malmö 2013 – The EBU have just revealed the individual combined rankings of the televoting and jury voting of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest. It shows that this year’s winner, Denmark, was ranked highest by both the juries and the televoters. As suspected the main loser thanks to the juries was Romania’s Cezar. malmoMalmö 2013 – The Eurovision Broadcasting Union (EBU) has today revealed that more than 170 million viewers in 36 countries tuned into the 58th Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden. In 24 of the 36 countries, more than a third of the population viewed the two Semi-Finals and the Final of the Contest.  An average audience of 54.6 million watched the Eurovision Song Contest Final. twitter trendsTwitter Trends – Thanks to escwebs.net, we can now bring you this year’s findings of Brandwatch, the company that has analysed twitter trends during this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Their analysis looked at what was the most talked about and also what type of tweets were being generated e.g. love, hate, talking about the song, or the outfit. barbara_dexBarbara Dex Award – The annual award for the worst dressed act of the contest has this year been won by Serbia‘s Moje 3. Nearly three thousand fans voted and a third of those voted for the three girls from Serbia, Mirna Radulović, Nevena Božović, and Sara Jovanović, who were former individual Voice contestants. DenmarkDenmark – The details of the Danish jury vote has been released. All 26 rankings of the jury has been released, but no results of televotes have been released as yet. To see how the jury voted check it out now. As we saw with the Italian and Norwegian vote, juries seemed to like France and Moldova but televoters in Denmark appear to have given large numbers of votes to Iceland. (more…)

Only the top ten points have been announced and not all 26 rankings, and no results of televotes or the semi-final have been released as yet. To see how the jury voted check it out now. According to the UK’s official charts website, There are currently 18 Eurovision-related tracks in this week’s Official Singles Chart Update Top 200, with winner Emmelie De Forest’s ‘Only Teardrops‘ looking set to go Top 10 this weekend. sbsEach year our Eurovision friends down under in Australia watch Eurovision in their thousands. They hold their own official vote and this year their winner was Denmark‘s Emmelie de Forrest. Broadcaster SBS screen the semi-finals and final, slightly delayed. The Australians have been involved for 30 years now and even got their own segment in this year’s semi-final. It’s the annual fan award for the worst costume worn during this year’s Eurovision. Voting closes on 25th of May at 23:59 CET. AzerbaijanAzerbaijan – Hot on the heels of accusations that Azerbaijan have been rigging votes, their President, Ilham Aliyev, has ordered an investigation into this year’s voting after no points were awarded by Azerbaijan to Russia. The national broadcaster Ictimai, appear to have revealed that viewers’ votes put Russia’s Dina Garipova in second place, and the jury also supported her.  (more…)

Belgium 2013Malmö 2013 – The 26 acts participating in tonight’s grand final have less than three hours left before the show starts. Some are chilling, some are eating, some are still doing interviews. We just had a very nice acoustic performance of ‘Love Kills‘ from Belgium‘s Roberto Bellarosa out in the fan area of the press centre for live Swedish TV. FinlandSemi-final 2 – Krista Siegfrids delighted her Finnish fans this evening by dashing out of the press centre soon after the press conference had ended, to celebrate with them and thank them! The impromptu escape from the press centre saw Krista hugging and kissing all the Finns, who were thrilled that she came out to celebrate with them.   (more…)
