Estonian Party – Today’s events at the Eurovision Village kicked off with The Estonian Party! Hundreds of Estonians were out in force waving their flags to see Ott Lepland (2012) and Tanel Padar (Winner 2001) perform together in a band alongside this year’s entrant Birgit, and neighbours PeR of Latvia. Estonia – This year’s representative from Estonia, Birgit Õigemeel has released a Swedish version of her song ‘Et Uus Saaks Alguse‘. The newly recorded version is entitled ‘Allting börjar om‘ and it can now be heard on YouTube. Estonia – The national broadcaster of Estonia, ERR, today released a revamped version of Birgit Õigemeel‘s ‘Et uus saaks alguse‘. Composer Mihkel Mattisen has made changes to the piano and string sections to reduce the computerisation and give a more grand orchestral sound in Malmö. You can check out the new version here.

Estonia - Birgit Õigemeel last night was selected to represent Estonia in Malmö after wining their national Eesti Laul final. She will sing the ballad ‘Et Uus Saaks Alguse’ (To give it a new start). Estonia – The second semi-final of Eesti Laul 2013 has finished with the following acts going forward to the final: Liisi Koikson & Söörömöö, Birgit Õigemeel, Rolf Roosalu, Rasmus Rändvee & Facelift Deer and Põhja-Tallinn. Estonia: Tauri Replaced in Eesti Laul

Estonia – It wouldn’t be the Eurovision national final season without a disqualification, and this year Estonia have replaced an act already. Tauri has been disqualified for having a song that sounded too similar to a previously published one, according to ERR producer Heidy Purga. Armastus with the song ‘Young Girl’ will be the replacement.

Estonia – National broadcaster ERR have revealed that they received 157 entries for this year’s Eesti Laul selection competition. An internal jury will now assess these songs and reduce the entries down to twenty. The names and song titles of the final twenty will be announced later this week. Two semi-finals will be held on the 16th and 23rd of February 2013, an the final on 2nd March 2013.
Estonia – The Estonian Head of Delegation for the Eurovision Song Contest, Mart Normet confirmed to ESCDaily.com, that Estonia will participate in Malmö. The successful “Eesti Laul” will continue to be the national selection of the small Baltic country. In 2012, Ott Lepland won Eesti Laul and went on to come 6th at the Eurovision Song Contest in Baku. Estonia – The Estonian singer MIA, who participated in the first semi-final of this year’s Estonian national final “Eesti Laul”, has published an Estonian version of Loreen’s Eurovision winning entry “Euphoria”. Both will have 10 acts performing in each one, and will not be live on TV but pre-recorded events which you can apply for tickets to. 5 acts will be chosen from each semi-final and go forward to the national final, which will be held on March 3. Eurovision 2011 – Today the official Eurovision site’s YouTube channel has uploaded the official preview videos of the Greek, Estonian and Turkish entries. Unfortunately Estonia and Turkey did not put a lot of effort in their videos as they are simply performances from the national finals. Estonia: “Getter Jaani – Rockefeller Street” to Eurovision

Estonia – Estonia chose its entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 today. Getter Jaani will fly the Estonian flag in Düsseldorf and represent her country with the pop song “Rockefeller Street”. Geeter had previously qualified for the super final along with the band Outloudz. Having the choice between these two, Estonian televoters decided to send Getter Jaani to Düsseldorf.
