The tambourine version, which was revealed on www.hrt.hr this afternoon comes with a video courtesy of the Croatian Tourist Board promoting the beauty of Croatia. croatiaCroatia – The national broadcaster of Croatia, HRT, this evening finally premiered the official video of ‘Mizerja’ by Klapa S More.  The video was shot in the Croatian towns of Kaštela and Trogir and was directed by Zoran Nikolić. eurovision 2013Eurovision 2013 – It’s been a busy day on YouTube today for Eurovision fans as four countries released their official videos.  Albania’s video sees Adrian Lulgjuraj & Bledar Sejko singing ‘Identitet‘, Croatia have issued the video by Klapa s Mora performing ‘Mižerja‘ and Finland’s Krista Siegfrids goes down the aisle in her video for ‘Marry Me‘. Croatia – Today HRT held a press conference and the Croatian entry for Eurovision 2013 was finally revealed. “Mizerja” was performed by the newly named Klapa S Mora, the video of which can be seen below. Klapa S Mora were put together especially to sing this song which was internally selected after a search for original Klapa style songs. Klapa S Mora will perform in the 1st Semi Final on May 14th. ImageCroatia – HRT today revealed the ensemble that will represent the country in Malmo. These are Marko ŠkugorAnte GalićNikša Antica, Leon BataljakuIvica Vlaić and Bojan Kavedžija. The group will go by the name of Super Klapa and will perform the song “Mizerija” which will be presented next week. Super Klapa will be performing in the first Semi Final on May 14th. (more…)

Croatia: Sad Song Selected

CroatiaCroatia – HRT, the Croatian national broadcaster has today announced that a jury has selected the song that Croatian will send to Malmö.  The song is called ‘Mizerja‘ ( Misery or Sadness) and it is composed by Goran Topolovac from Duga Resa. The HRT jury is now assembling a Klapa “super vocal group” to perform the song. HRT will release more details soon.

Croatia - After iconic DORA failed to produce a qualifyer for Croatia in 2010 and 2011 with two different formats, and that internally chosen Nina Badrić did not do better, Croatian broadcaster HRT has decided to go for a different approach today, by internally chosing the music style it will send to the contest: traditional klapa! Eurovision 2013: Croatia Is In

  Croatia –   Croatia has failed to qualify for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest three times in a row, but their Head of delegation Aleksandar Kostadinov has announced that Croatia will try their luck in Malmö despite the set-backs. It has not been revealed yet whether the national broadcaster HRT will go for an internal selection like this year, or whether the  national final DORA will be held again. (more…)

Eurovision 2012 – A further five acts have this morning completed their second rehearsals. Slovenia, Croatia, Sweden, Georgia and Turkey have all now had several run throughs each, and we’ve got a feel for what it may look and sound like in the semi finals. Croatia: Nina Badrić Song Revealed

CroatiaNina Badrić will sing ‘Nebo‘ at Eurovision 2012 in Baku. The song was revealed yesterday on the show ‘Dora 2012′, and is a slow ballad. She wrote and composed the song herself. Croatia will perform in the second half of the Second Semi Final on Thursday May 24th in Baku. You can listen to the song here.

  Croatia – After Nina Badrić had already announced via twitter last night that she would represent Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest, the Croatian national broadcaster HRT confirms the news today.   Croatia – The lead singer of the band Colonia, Indira Vadic, confirmed that she and her band colleagues will participate in the 2012 edition of Dora, the Croatian national final for Eurovision. There had been many rumors about the competition, one even suggested that HRT could opt for an internal selection. Now that Nina Barbic has been confirmed to be Croatia’s representative, Colonia’s announcement may have concerned the first night of Dora which will look back at 20 years of competition. (more…)

Croatia: DORA Returns With a New Format

  Croatia – Croatian Eurovision website eurosong.hr reports today that Croatia will hold a national final to choose their representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. Rumors that Croatia might select its entry internally after this year’s unsatisfactory result of the Croatian entry are thus false. Zlatko Turkalj Turki of the Croatian national broadcaster said on the tv show “Turki party” that the traditional national final DORA will see some changes this year. Eurovision 2011 – The new videos and revamped versions are pouring in right before the Heads of Delegations meeting in Düsseldorf this Monday. Hungary has tonight revealed its official preview video (which I can’t see in Germany), Croatia has revealed a new English version of the song “Lahor” which is entitled “Celebrate”. The initial title “Break A Lag” has thus been changed for obvious reasons. The Netherlands have also released the English version of their entry called “Never alone“. Croatia: Daria Kinzer To Düsseldorf

Croatia held their national selection final in Zagreb tonight. There were two acts in the final - Jacques Houdek and Daria Kinzer – and they both sang the same three songs, in a preliminary final before voting again for the winner to send to Germany in May. After the first round of voting, made up half from a televote and half by a professional jury, both Jacques and Daria ended up singing Lahor in the second part of the final, the super final. The public then got to choose the Croatian entry, voting to send Daria Kinzer to Eurovision with the (more…)

Croatia Decides – The Final of DORA 2011

Croatia – After a long casting selection, Croatia will decide whom to send to Düsseldorf tonight. The format of the final is quite similar to the German national final last year.The finalists, who qualified from the selection rounds, are Jacques Houdek and Daria Kinzer. Both of them will sing the same three songs in the national final. In the first round, one song will be selected for each performer by a combination of 50% televoting and 50% jury voting. In the second round the performer will be selected by 100% televoting. (more…)

Croatia – Over the last couple of weeks, Croatia has held a casting show to find its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011. After six shows, the finalists are Jacques Houdek and Daria Kinzer. Both of them will sing the same three songs in the national final to be held this Saturday and the Croatian public will be able to decide which song and which singer to send to Düsseldorf. Croatia: DORA Composers Revealed

Croatia – HRT, the Croatian national broadcaster has revealed the three composers that will pen the songs for the final of this year’s Croatian national selection “Dora”. Ante Pecotic, Lea Dekleva and Boris Durdevic will each compose one song for the lucky finalists. The Croatian final will be quite similar to the German one last year. Dora 2011: 5 singers in the next round

Croatia – In Croatia, the first heat of their national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 was held this weekend. 5 acts who sang cover versions of popular hits qualified for the next round. Croatia -  All participants of the Croatian national final have just been revealed by HRT. In seven shows they will have to proof they’re worthy of representing Croatia in Germany. The songs have been divided into two semi-finals to be held on February 22 and February 29. Croatia – The Croatian national broadcaster HRT has received 150 submissions for their national final “DORA” for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011. 24 names were chosen in the last three days and they will now be competing to represent the Balkan country in Düsseldorf next May. Another 2 artists were chosen as back ups in case one of the artists or songs gets disqualified or withdraws. CroatiaEurovision Croatia reports that Dora, the Croatian national final for the Eurovision Song Contest will return to the capital Zagreb. The last four years it had been held in the small city Opatija by the Adriatic sea. The selection process was adjusted after disappointing results in the last couple of years (last Top10 placing in 2000).
