  1. Αlbania!

  2. Albania is the better song out of these. It’s quite underrated.

    UK is OK too.

    Slovenia I don’t like.

  3. I don’t know if it’s enough to change my ranking, but the UK entry is growing on me steadily. I heard her new album and I think it was a quite competent album with only decent songs on it – none were bad, but none were exceptional either. I do think “Believe in me” sounded like the obvious choice for Eurovision though, a little safer than the others. It is a well made song and it has a memorable refrain so I just hope it will go UK’s way this year unlike last year. The jury really should have rewarded Engelbert more because it was a good entry. I hope they do their job this year, along with the people at home showing some love for Bonnie. ;)

  4. Hannah singing straight into love Live! She really delivers!

    • Still , it won’t work…Song is very cheap. With songs like this you have to be Gaitana in order to appeal ( at least to juries ).
A non qualifier and a 2/10 from me , dragging down what seemed to be a very decent Slovenian average ( 6.56 ) so far !

      • It’s not the best song in the world but i find it pretty decent and she is very strong vocally.I don’t think “Cheap”is the right word for this entry.

      • Although the vocals are great, the song itself does nothing for me. It’s just there. I wonder what the staging will look like.

Also for someone born in LA, she sure has zero charisma. How is that possible? LA is the land of showmanship.

Still, if she sounds like this in May the jury will reward it.

    • Hannah’s vocals certainly do sound above average, but she is totally uncharismatic as a performer. The song as well isn’t all that remarkable and is quite poorly structured – whilst good dance songs, such as “Euphoria” start quietly and slowly build up to a climax, “Straight Into Love” instead climaxes in the first fifteen seconds and has nowhere to go from there.

I don’t hate Slovenia 2013 though, and think that it is a borderline qualifier (8th – 12th), helped massively by the fact it is the only fully up-tempo song (I classify Denmark as mid-tempo) in the first half of semi-final one, and the large Balkan voting contingent.

    • Thanks, Dimitri. :) She does sound very good live. Her problem is the flag she is flying under so to speak.

  5. That Croatia 1995 Dora is BRILLIANT! I didnt remember it.
Was only joking about Americans-They are alright-I taught some of them English :) well scottish english.
Poor Bonnie-I just hope she gets a decent score-she has had such a great career.I agree about Engelbert-his song was not that bad.Maybe voters just thought he was too old? A shame if it was that.

  6. Inspired by Dora-My favourite eurovision song..

  7. Happy Passover/Pesach to all who celebrate :)

  8. Ott and Sandra singing ‘Rändajad’ at Estonian Pop Idol 2009. It is F A N T A S T I C. Morgan sent me the link:

  9. I read that ByeAlex will perform a bilingual version of Kedvesem in Malmo! It seems that they will sing one of the 2 choruses in Swedish and this will be the version included in the official esc cd.
