I DID enjoy it. It was 7th for me this year. I know it’s cheap, cheesy, quite similar to Greece 2005/8 and her performance was rather weak… but it’s catchy, I was surprised when she didn’t place in the top 10 as Greece used to do. (even if she came 9th in televoting)
By the way, I LOVE your reviews, I think this is the best one after the French review of course

Agreed! I could picture Cyprus’ song coming on in a club! If the Greek song came on in a club, everyone would leave!
A lame musical composition + lame lyrics + a poor vocal and stage performance= the second worst greek esc entry in my books ever! (second only to the 2007 desgrace).
I think that it’s high time ERT reconsider the way they handle the whole ESC idea. Internal selection NOW!!! (as a first step); at least we would had been spared the mall fiasco.
And pls, give a chance to all those talented composers, lyricists and singers that we really have, and not all those wannabe type of “celebrities” who someone, sometime, told them that they can sing and are being promoted by the record companies! Get rid of the record companies from the ESC procedure!

Very bad lyrics ( probably the worst the 2012 edition had on offer along with Turkey ).
Unoriginal tune and musical arrangement.
Average stage performance.
Too much back singing.
I only loved ELEFTHERIA ! ( probably the most beautiful girl we have sent to esc – Too bad it’s not a beauty contest. )
Overall a 5 out of 12 for me and around my #27 this year. To be honest , we have sent worse stuff aka 2002 , 2003 , 2009

In fact, if we had team medals (like in world championships), Portugal would have won a medal there. Let’s hope that Ireland, Austria, Finland, Estonia, Bulgaria and the other European countries that haven’t got a medal yet will soon appear on the medal table. (No hope for the microstates, I am afraid …)

i always thought that 100m is a sort of overrated event; I mean the guys participating in it are always in the spotlight, sometimes undeservingly so, while others, the decathletes f.e. or even the throwers, don’t get the publicity they deserve.

Well, noramally the 100 and 200 meters interest me most because that is what I did myself until my early 30s … but it is all so overhyped these days that I rather watch archery or shot put.

Yes, the greek entry was not good, but since the first posts on March (on the other esc site, you know…) , i find the reactions on this, highly exaggerated.
OFCOURSE we ‘ve had much worse entries, 1988-bliaaaahhh-,1990,1998-bliaaaaah,2002,2003 are some i recall (SHIT! when you stick on the ’00s you ‘re killing me!!!!) and the girl was NOT trashy for sure! In Greece we have a word for trashy girls -skyli (dog)- that is, and Eleftheria is not one (the Romanian though….).
As for my wish list……….
