Posted: July 2, 2012 by eurovisiontimes in Sweden

Sweden - The winner of the 57th Eurovision Song Contest, Loreen, will be introduced into the Stockholm Hall of Fame at the Arlanda Airport in the Swedish capital. She will thus join popular Swedish figures of the royal family, sports, music and more. Loreens portrait will thus soon hang next to images of Christer Fuglesang,  Therese Alshammar, Carola and Greta Garbo. It will take the place of a famous ABBA poster which has been removed at the request of Benny Andersson to protest against a building project in Stockholm, that would destroy old and traditional buildings.

Loreen expressed her great joy about the decision to introduce her into the Hall of Fame saying: “It is a fantastic honour, and it feels incredible to be part of the Stockholm Hall of Fame along with these other Swedish figures.”

  1. JKF Irish says:

Loreen should be really getting out of Sweden. The window of oppertunity for her to build on her international success is closing.

I’m sure it is a great honour for her to be in the hall of fame.

  2. that’s sad… is Loreen the greatest selling artist of all time? no

  3. Dimitry Latvia USA says:

I think singers who get into the Hall of Fame have to be the ones who stood the test of time. As good as Loreen is, it will take several years to see if she will be remembered. A lot of people think the most recent is the best.
