That’s cool. Not surprised with Ireland’s result. 0 points from Jury but 10 points from televotes lolz

Great to see that the jury liked those countries. They all deserved those points.

  2. Anonymous says:

Ireland must have been top of the televote, to receive 12pts, and then beat Spain (also 12pts on jury vote), and get 10pts overall, behind Sweden but ahead of Spain.

  3. Marc Panozzo says:

So the UK tele-voting results could end up being roughly like this…

    12 – Ireland
    10 – Lithuania
    8 – Russia
    7 – Sweden
    6 – Turkey
    5 – Germany
    4 – ?
    3 – ?
    2 – Malta
    1 – ?

  4. come! LOL :D says:

hahahha the day when UK televoters will give us some points will NEVER come! LOL :D

  5. Once again it is proved that Greece doesn’t get televoting points from UK when the song is not liked. The argument ” But x country will always be supported due to diaspora ” is so 2000s….

    x country = Greece , Turkey , Georgia , Ukraine etc…
To the major disappointment of the usual moaners , Ukraine and Georgia finished second last and last in their semi with 100% televoting ! No need to say more…

Introduce the one televote per song per telephone number and increase the number of jury members to at least 20 ( lyricists , singers etc )

  6. dimitrisesc says:

It seems that they really liked Malta(*sigh),and Ukraine(*sigh again)…

    • Scott Hirst says:

Im not suprised though with Ukraine being popular over here R’n'B music is realy popular and ucurent with our music charts at the minute allthough Ukraines attepmt to do R’n'B was poor and the Choegraphy to me looked a mess. I’m not suprised with Malta either in the semi finals he shocked me becuase I didnt think much of Malta before but after the great performance I changed my mind , Plus the LGBT community who mainly vote and watch ESC over here would have loved Malta too, ot was a good entry.

  7. OH MY GOD! AWFUL JURY VOTES!

  8. Richard UK says:

Who on earth voted for Lithuania????? Glad to see the jury chose Spain though ;-)

  9. Maybe Rita Ora can represent UK in ESC, she tries to representthem in 2009, but then she was NOBODY, now (in 2012) she had number one song in the UK chart with Tinie Tempah, so i doubt she will do ESC NOW! She is Albanian born in Prishtina, Kosovo, maybe to represent Albania, but i doubt even more…

  10. Dimitry Latvia USA says:

It appears quite a few of British televoters voted for Russia in the final. And Jedward of course…

  11. Robert UK says:

So the UK jury puts Malta ahead of Estonia and Ukraine ahead of Sweden in the Semi
… then puts Estonia ahead of Malta and Sweden ahead of Ukraine in the Final.

    How does that work?
Did the Estonian and Swedish songs markedly improve over 2 days???

  12. betty says:

  14. Alex says:

lol at UK voting for Lithuania, Turkey and Estonia (none of them entered the top 200 singles chart). I would like to know if Cyprus was in UK’s top 10 televoting! why didn’t bbc announce the televoting results? The jury voting was horrible apart from the points for Spain. Voting for Azerbaijan and Ukraine? really?

  15. no wonder says:

After seeing this I don’t wonder why UK fails to send good entries to eurovision. Televoters don’t show any taste in music and UK jury is in no way better. They just pick different crap.

    • Scott Hirst says:

The jury have more sense though than Televoters, problem with the public here is that they fail to move on from post 2000 to 2006 Eurovision, when eurovision was also about humour, plus it doesnt help when the magority of those that vote Belong to the LGBT community in the UK, as they perfer camp, cheesy and kitch europop entries explaining why Schooch, Jemmini and Josh got chosen to represent the country, and why Jedward, Russia this year and other comedic and kitch entries have done well by UK voters.

  16. Scott Hirst says:

Its good to see higher Jury points for the Balkan countries for a change its a pitty the Televoters fail to see the same tallent in the Balkans, it was one block that really stood out this year, I’ve learned to realy apprecaite their music unlike the magority of some brits.
